I don't know about Anyone else.
But I think Pacquiao could beat Deontay Wilder.

His boxing skills, speed are too good. He would land hard flush shots on Wilder and probably Ko him late.

No, the reason Ali is better is because he has prime greats on his resume, Floyd doesn't.

        Sorry, truth hurts.

Either add to the discussion and tell me how and why I'm wrong, or don't post here again at all.

Ah! You're new to boxing. This post explains a lot.

You might want to learn a thing or two about the sport before creating such a dumb topic.

I've never seen anything having to do with Fury, actually.

Nobody is contributing. Pretty much every post has clowned the ******ity on display.

Cut your losses and pretend it was a failed troll attempt. You might save face that way.

In my opinion, to be the 'best' of anything concerning fighting, you have to be able to defeat EVERYBODY, no matter what their size, weight, or strength is. Imagine someone walking around on the street saying that they were the greatest fighter in the world or the baddest person in the world. You would naturally interpret them as meaning that they could beat anyone and everyone that they came across. If they were to then say that "No, I mean I'm the greatest fighter or the baddest person in the world when fighting guys that are only my same size and weight", you would . Because that's not truly being the best fighter in the world then, is it?

Ali was a HEAVYWEIGHT. So we know he can stand toe to toe with smaller boxers as well as the big ones. Can Floyd, at his size, defeat Muhammad Ali, whether it be the 60's Ali or the 70's Ali? If not, then how can be 'better'?
So you can't imagine them being the same size...but saying 60's or 70's ali vs current floyd is fine? For a true comparison, they'd actually have to fight. If that fight happened tomorrow, floyd would win, therefore floyd is better than ali lol.

Because people don't always respond to the good topics... Quite the shame, really. There actually is something here worth discussing if people here actually bothered to. I have a valid point and the proof of its validity is the fact that none of the detractors have made any sort of argument against it yet except to attack me or call the thread dumb.

                      What?

We only have the heavyweight version of Ali from that time frame to compare with the welterweight version of Mayweather, so yes, that is the only comparison that can be made. And that version of Ali could beat any version of Mayweather that we've ever seen perform in a boxing ring, thus making him (in my eyes) the better boxer.
