I like both, but I'm sick of people acting like GGG is the second coming of Zeus.

I like both. If Ward was active he'd be favored over GGG. He's bigger and a spoiler.
      Ward, however, is languishing.
GGG has the more watchable style.
I don't think GGG is going to be able to dominate above 160lbs. He'll be undersized.

Not dramatic at all. Goossen got Ward everything and he still wasn't satisfied, yet still signed an extension. That's not a contract dispute, that's one guy being a delusional, ungrateful, prick.
Obviously Ward saw it differently and was prepared to sit out until he got what he thought was fair. Win, lose or draw, I respect Ward for standing up for what he thought was right....

Besides, it's common knowledge that many athletes are often delusional and narcissistic, that's part of what drives them to be great.

I don't have anything against GGG. It's his rabid fanbase I have an issue with.

are you serious? he had the same exact deal that he has now. 2 million guarantee per fight but the difference was in order to get that 2 million goosen/hbo wanted him to fight live bodies like bute, froch, stevenson and ward wasn't willing to do that. boxingscene where trying to fight bums earns you respect

Why exaggerate? Ward's had one questionable fight during his career (Paul Smith), he's faced good opposition overall. If Ward's career achievements thus far don't earn your respect (gold medalist, 168lb Champ, P4P top 5) then I doubt anything else he does will.

I've heard several different reasons about why the conflict/lawsuit began however I wasn't at the negotiating table and don't know anyone from Ward or Goossen's camp so I'll refrain from speculating. Fact is Ward put his money where his mouth was; that's something I respect. If you don't, that's fine too.

I appreciate both. Ward for what he did and GGG for what he is doing.
