I like Golovkin, though most of his hardcore fans on the forum here are annoying and uneducated in the sport. There seems to be this stigma that if you're honest about Golovkin's resume and his chances of beating Ward that you must hate him and white people as well. That's the kind of idiocy that makes his hardcore fans come across like fools. I always watch Golovkin fight though. I like him in that regard.
I'm I the only one that likes both Ward & Golovkin

I'm neither a huge fan of both nor I dislike Ward. The way Ward handled the GG situation left a bad taste in my mouth. Instead of just admitting he can't make 168 and below anymore, which he already admitted in one interview, he kept pretending he wanted it without doing nothing for one whole year. We're left wondering whether the fight could have happened if he made a decision as Team GG at some point were running out of options.Comment

I honestly find it very hard to like Ward on any level. Sure, he is skilled, but more often than not his fights are about as exciting as a 2nd coat of paint.
But the main reason is what he put Dan Goossen through. I knew Dan Goossen. Dan was a good man, and an honest man, who deserved much better than what Ward gave him.
For that, Ward will always be a piece of **** to me.........Comment

yeah, he acted like an ungrateful, deluded, idiot. I'm still shocked at his actions. I never liked his fighting style to begin with but all those ****** failed lawsuits showed me what piece of **** he is. I'm not sure how anyone can be a fan of such a character.I honestly find it very hard to like Ward on any level. Little dramatic, Ward being a bad businessman pales in comparison to what the average fighter gets away with.yeah, he acted like an ungrateful, deluded, idiot. I'm still shocked at his actions. Goosen passing away during the lawsuit didn't earn Ward any fans but at the end of the day it was simply a contractual a dispute....something that happens frequently in boxing.Comment

yeah, some people like to get amnesia about all that, or say "well nobody knows what really happened", and blah blah blah.
But one thing they can never explain is James Prince. EVERYONE knows James Prince is nobody to fool with. Can anyone really say with a straight face that if Goossen was screwing over Ward that James Prince wouldnt have sorted that out in 24 hours or less? cmon. Everyone knows Prince dont play around. Remember the Mayweather gym incident?? Ellerbe does, I can promise you that.
But one thing about Prince though is the man has honor. So if he stayed out of the Ward-Goossen fight, it was likely because he felt Goossen had held up his end of the deal, so there was nothing that needed to be straightened. Granted, that part is pure speculation on my end, but there isnt another likely reason why Prince wouldnt get involved.......Comment

Not dramatic at all. Goossen got Ward everything and he still wasn't satisfied, yet still signed an extension. That's not a contract dispute, that's one guy being a delusional, ungrateful, prick.Little dramatic, Ward being a bad businessman pales in comparison to what the average fighter gets away with.
