Its got to be Floyd or Fury.

Floyd has the only win against a consensus top3 p4p fighter while Fury has the only other win against a consensus top 10 p4p fighter. Fury beating wlad after his 10+ years winning streak was extremely significant. I expect Fury to win the boxing writer's award.

In what will come as no surprise, I voted for Floyd. He proved beyond a shadow of a doubt (in the minds of competent, rational boxing fans) he was the best fighter of his generation.

When you beat a consensus top 3 p4p opponent 8-4,8-4 and 10-2 on the cards, dramatically lowering his punch output and forcing the opponent's promoter and trainer to argue in the press conference about when an alleged injury allegedly occurred, you are the clear FOTY.

I voted Tyson Fury for dethroning the dominant run of Wlad who hadn't taken a loss in over 10 years, as an underdog, in a masterclass type schooling, solidifying himself as the HW kingpin for the unforseeable future. Floyd comes in second, because real fans knew Pac had no chance from the get-go, I can't give him an award for taking care of business we knew we was going to take care of anway. And GGG is third for me, but similar to Floyd it was a fight he was supposed to win, even if you dominate and stop your opponent, that never beats out a genuine upset imo.

If there was ever a year to do co-fighter of the year with Mayweather and Fury, this would be it. I'll vote for Fury since he was the underdog but it's really dead even.

I like Canelo's year the most. Exciting 3-round destruction of Kirkland (KO of the Year candidate) and then a big win over Cotto for the lineal MW title in the 2nd biggest event of the year.

Between Fury and Mayweather, I'd pick Fury because Wladimir hadn't lost in 11 years of domination while Pacquaio had been KO'd badly less than 3 years prior.

I expect Floyd to win the BWAA award though.

                Mayweather or Fury. Tough choice

I expected mayweather to dominate pacquiao, I didn't expect fury to get the win. By that virtue, my vote goes to Fury

TBE is the only choice. Fury's win over Wlad was good but nothing tops Mayweather beating the former FOTD.

i say mayweather first then fury then everybody else its a freeforall
#1 mayweather fought his so-called "nemesis"/"rival" which he beat and THAT fight determined the controller of this era was. it had more significance from alllll of the buildup which led to be a unentertaining bore which mayweather won on my 1st cards 10-2 then as i rewatched 9-3
#2 fury beat the champ at the HEAVYWEIGHT div which is the "tru" controller of boxing BUT he didnt do it emphatically enough BUT he did get like 4 belts in one swoop but even then at heavy he doesnt control that division bc the most prestigious of all the belts is in wilders hands so i mean i got fury as #2
                    erbody else BOY STOP.
canelo had a better year than golovkin he faced more quality opp BUT he fought them at catchweights so i have to put gg ahead of cinnamon.
but gg's quality is subpar to say the least so he gets deducted points

Voted Floyd when it came down to it. I was really torn though.
