Jacobs never beat the division numer 1 undefeated in a decade, I can't see how Floyd, Canelo, Postol or GGG emulate anything Fury did either.

In my opinion performance matters and Mayweather and Fury didn't look good in their fights and probably drove fans away. Also they each only have one significant win each against top ten comp. The award is FOTY not FOTM.
