this might not have had anything to do with Hearn losing the purse bid. Eubank was already 2 fights into a 3 fight contract, so this fight will effectively be the 3rd fight, thus ending the contract.

It will be interesting to see if he signs a new deal with Hearn after this fight, or goes a different direction......

because the 3rd fight of the contract is being fought on the show of a different promoter, so it would seem that at this moment Eubank and Hearn have no further business together.

Forget the purse bid, the real question is, why is he trying to fight Blackwell anyway? The problem Matchroom is going to have is what will happen once these guys are ready to take that next step and make Big Money, how will he keep them all happy. He has a great Roster of young British Talent no doubt but I question how he will keep them all happy especially when they will look across the pond and see guys rated lower than them in their Division making way more money

I know last week Barry Hearn was saying how British fighters don't need to leave the UK and how American fighters will need to go to the UK. Not if you can't even win Purse Bids they don't! lol
