He has been ducked but at the same time they clearly aren't in any rush to throw him in a highly risky fight before Cotto and now Canelo. His resume is decent and he has looked very good beating everyone who's been put in front of him.

In their ideal world Golovkin would have been the one to dethrone Martinez, unify and defend a couple times and then been looking to move up to 168 in early 2016. I think if that happened they would have been more willing to fight Ward.

Doe, in reality GG is not even that big of a star. The offering can come from either side with absolutely zero issues. Lara, for example, if he's really serious, can instruct Haymon to make the fight for him and send GG the offer. Instead, all Lara camp want to do is tweet.

HBO doesn't even cover all of GG's fights, so they can't possibly be the problem.

Talk is cheap and boxing is full of offers that have no real validity other than PR.
Yes talk is cheap and if rumors are true so are K2. Thats why they gotta offer it. If even for PR purposes they need something other than "we accepted another step aside cause no one wants to fight GGG so we will fight Johnson". That ran its course already and many are seeing it as a ploy now. Its time to pay.

Bull****. Kosta didn't get American recognition until being brought in to lose to Judah.

Also Kosta wasn't quite as good as GGG. Looked vurnarable and knocked out by Verno.

He also had the good fortune of catching Chavez Sr completely out of his prime. A legend on your resume never hurts.

I know GGG isnt as big as many on NSB want to think he is but Lara isnt the one accepting another step aside to build up a fight. GGG needs the name in the ring with him.

And thats why i mentioned in the other post that this "GGG cant get fights cause everyone afraid" routine is done and tired. Big boys arent gonna get in the ring for 100K

What I'm saying is the ball can be on either court. GG is not that big enough to have the sole right to offer anything. Since PBC in Lara's case is the more established side, they can actually craft the offer and send it to GG's camp. That's if Lara is really serious about the fight. It's obvious, he's not.

K2/Team GGG think they have the star. Said it many times. They already dissed Lara and said everyone else is afraid. He is the HBO darling and cant fight outside of it. Lara will offer the fight on PBC they will say no and everyone will say Lara is ducking cause he knows GGG cant fight off of HBO. Offer, to any fighter, must come from Team GGG

Canelo said he would fight him at 155 and they said no showing they think he is the star
