Why has GGG's career been moved so slowly?

He has been pro for 9 going on 10 years and is 33 almost 34

compare that to others and what they achieved in 10 years

It all comes down to his management and promotion. If he was with Al Haymon, Golden Boy or Top Rank he would have been moved a lot more quickly years ago.

It hasn't even been a month since Canelo - Cotto and K2 are already negotiating with GBP.

They negotiated another step aside after already accepting 2 previous step asides and were promised they would get the fight next. K2 can't get him a big fight. He'd be better off with Top Rank

Manny career took off because of the MAB fight and the circumstance.

1. They had the same promoter if I'm not mistaken.

2. Manny looked like trash the fight before.

3. Manny took the fight on 2 weeks notice.

4. MAB was more confident in his craft.

Now tell me how is GGG being moved slow when he challenged the champion in 2010 and the fight was blocked. I'm sure GGG would have taken a fight with Martinez with 2 weeks notice but that didn't happen. Not GGG fault and not Martinez.

And you argument proves my point, Manny and GGG two fighters more talented than a guy like Broner has to fight their way to the top and wait on opportunities while the other is given opportunities.

Being moved slow and not getting opportunities as fast isn't the same thing. A guy like Russel year was moved slow, Wilder was moved slow.

If they really want to build up canelo/ggg fight then ggg next fight cannot be johnson. His team has to dust off the wallet pay some big boys to get in there. jacobs or winner of lee/saunders. maybe even move up for one fight against degale, dirrells, or another 168 fighter or even offer Lara to call bluff

Lee will fight GGG. Saunders has made comments indicating he isn't so willing.

When Khan actually does return to HBO, then you can give those remarks some credibility. If it isn't a Pacquiao fight, then I don't see it happening if he's still with Haymon.

Talk is cheap and boxing is full of offers that have no real validity other than PR.

In boxing you need a powerful promoter with contacts and also you need to sell. Being from Kazahztan doesn't help much. But your boxing ability CAN sooner or later expose you to the top.

Or you can be a Chavez Jr, the opposite case.
