Some clowns on here thought I was making **** up about Joshua Clottey, Clottey had diarrhea and took 4 dumps in the dressing room before the Pacuqiao fight, and it was because of Banku stew and old Okra.
They told me I was making stuff up, but I hit them with the facts:
Clottey blames defeat on Banku and Okro stew
Joshua Clottey has partly blamed his defeat to Manny Pacquiao in the WBO welter weight bout on a meal he ate hours before the bout.
Clottey was less than impressive on the night and was hugely overwhelmed by the Philippine who was devastating with his punches from start to finish.
The Ghanaian boxer shortly after his defeat apologized to Ghanaians for failing to dethrone the undisputed welter weight champion but appears to have diagnosed the reason for his defeat.
Speaking to Joy News, the 32 year old Ghanaian boxer said he was not in the right frame of mind after suffering multiple stomach upsets and diarrhea prior to the bout.
He suspected an ingredient used in preparing local Ghanaian dish- Banku and Okro stew he ordered to be prepared for him to eat as possible cause for the diarrhea.
“When I ate after the weighing I was 'running'; the midnight I went to toilet almost like four times; in the morning I went to toilet almost like three times; when we went to the dressing room I went to toilet like three times,” he explained.
He said the heavy dose of diarrhea weakened him ahead of the bout and that partly contributed to his defeat.
He has promised to make a swift comeback to glory.

good read, some things it seems like it would not have made a diffenrce but listing all the details is crutial,no matter how irrelevant it may seem to appear,
I just don't think he's strong mentally, and my su****ion was confirmed when he ducked Matt Korobov. I mean Matt Korobov of all people.
Against Lee he was fighting very cautious despite getting Lee hurt early. Quillin had the opportunity to finish Lee off and he didn't do it, that was odd. You can't have baggage coming into a fight especially against a fighter like Jacobs. None the less he does have talent, he does have the skills to be a champion, he just needs to mentally put things together. Should he rematch Jacobs right away? No I say he should fight Korobov.

I definitely agree that it was stopped too early. Much too early in my opinion.
However, to blame his loss on poor mental preparation is utterly absurd. That's as much a part of high level, championship boxing as is hitting the heavy bag or sparring. If you can't get yourself mentally prepared for the biggest championship level fight in your career then you're not tough enough to fight at that level.
Mental preparation is just as important as physical preparation, and some would say a lot more. If Quillin didn't prepare mentally and lost because of it, that's no different than not preparing physically and losing that way. It's not an excusable reason as to why he lost as you seem to try to be making it out as.
The guy that trains harder and smarter will win the fight. Jacobs was the better fighter and won because he prepared himself better and was mentally tougher than Quillin.
