I think he just lost, it happens sometimes, doesn't have to be bad news from his Great Aunt Ophelia or a skin rash....

He was likely dealing with survivor's remorse after the Zerafa encounter.

First I want to say cong**** on Danny Jacobs he won, but the fight was wrong in so many ways, the ref stopped it too soon, It was a BS stoppage.

Jacobs names is the Golden Child, so that makes him one of Haymons cash cow possibilities, he was the protected fighter going in and the one he wanted to win so they gave him the W any way possible with that BS stoppage.

          Kid Chocolate was done wrong.

Another thing that nobody wanted to acknowledge is the mental state, reasons Algieri and Rios lost to Pacquiao was bad diet, and mental state. Rios wasnt ready for the big lights, he was groggy and didn't have his American brand Quacker quick oats for breakfast, his week in China was down hill from there when the two bottles of Oats spilled open and he couldn't salvage it. They were contaminated, and the big lights and fight time screwed him up he was sleepy fighting at 8 am in the morning, most people are taking a dump around that time after breakfast.

Algieri was over confident and not prepared for the lights, he screwed up his diet and was overweight a bit, plus he had to do lots of media obligations that blew his head up with too much confidence and he had an incompetent corner.

Now with Quillin, he had similar issues, his wife blamed him for a miscarriage, he revealed this before his fight with Jacobs on The Breakfast club morning show, he said his wife was so depressed and hurt and was threatening to leave him over the miscarriage, Quillin blames himself and he said it affected him big time. He wasn't on good terms with his wife leading up to this camp, and she wasnt giving him the love and affection a man needs when he comes home from a hard day work, instead he arrived to a cold shoulder and tension.

I know some of you guys won't accept it and want to down this man, but please have an open mind and understanding, his mind wasn't right and they stopped the fight way to early never gave him a chance at all.
Could have sworn I saw him on all access referring to himself as the boss before the fight

I'm going to have to look up that episode of the Breakfast Club. I dig how often they have boxers on there, but I can't keep up with every episode.

And I mean **** man I imagine there are a ton of variables going on with any particular fight & the fighters involved in that fight that make unseen ripples. Some maybe effect you more than others, but **** man thats life. Sometimes you sleep funny & got a crick in your neck all day & feel off that whole day because of it. You deal with it.

Boxing is a lot more competitive than the average job people got so if you come to a fight with any bs on your shoulders it surely can effect you, but its not like Quillin just started boxing. He's been boxing for years & years. I'm sure he knows how to shut things down, shut things out once he gets in the ring like most world class fighters do.

So he came up short this time. It happens. 50% of the mfers in the ring are going to lose. It was bound to happen to Quillin eventually, just like its bound to happen to Jacobs again & despite the non-believe of some it'll happen to GGG eventually to. Its a rough mfing sport y'all.

Some "closet" stuff going on with the Quillen story. I wish the fight would have been able to continue to give Quillen a little extra time. No reason to hate on Pacquiao.

Well usually Quillin's wife is always jumping around cheering him on... Instead she was just sitting there and different than usual, so there might be some truth.

People seem to realize this is Quillin's first loss, and if he really wanted to hold or take a knee he could've. It's just too bad there's no standing 8 count in a WBA championship bout. And why did Jacobs hold back if he knew there was no standing 8, he would've just assumed that the ref would stop it as he went after him, nor did Jacobs state in the post conference that the reason he didn't want to continue was because he didn't want to hurt Peter... Instead they were talking about rematches...

Both have let there 0's go... and Peter was still standing...

Was a very odd fight. Same thing with the judges for Lee vs Quillin. Quillin still wouldn't have the WBO belt again, but at least defeated Lee. It's all karma ironically because Peter didn't finish Lee in the first round when Lee was out of it and saved by the bell.
