Thurman has always been somewhat of an enigma. He almost feels detached from the sport. I am not sure if he takes it seriously or not. The inactivity will not improve his profile or skills though, and he needs both.

Wouldn't surprise me if he didn't want to fighter Porter right now.

I'm not a Porter fan but i think he has a style that is difficult to look good against and a style that will give anyone a hard fight when he's on his game. Probably not ideal for a guy like Thurman who they try to promote as exciting.

No he didn't, there were multiple interviews from him when Alexander called him out where Thurman said multiple times that he was blown off whenever he tried to contact Haymon about an Alexander fight. Alexander was being saved for Khan.
