I don't think it has anything to do with Thurman. I think Haymon simply doesn't want Porter to upset his apple cart again, and told Keith to chill out on this fight. If Thurman was talking on social media or in interviews that he wanted the Porter fight as well, it would make Haymon look bad.

I'm new here but have been with this program over 40 years. I've seen all the 'trends' in boxing, and we are coming off one where all we saw was PPV championship bouts. Thus many new (10 years) boxing fans are accustomed only to that.
Al Haymon is bring it back to how it was back in the day, where we get to see, uhm, how the sausage is made. But again, tell me a fighter/manager/promoter who has ONLY been involved with "real" fights? I'd think you would be happy to see what occurs in 'non-title' fights...instead of complain about it.
