Let's see if Lara calls him out , Jacobs just made a name for himself and is a hot fighter right now no politics involved in making it
Funny part is Lara and one of the Charlo twins don't have any plans of fighting each other. Their last fights are against almost retired opponents, thus bums.

I don't know, gives me the impression J-Rock could be moving up. The IBF eliminator was a dangerous 50/50 with a TR fighter. Jermall just announced he's staying at 154. JMW is crowded for Al's guys, maybe he wants to make space?

Edwards says Jan 16th or 23rd, so not likely Jacobs off the bat, but maybe Blanco for the interim?

        lol Still hurts, dont it?
Lara did so well he couldn't even get one scorecard to go his way.
Two draws and one wide card for Molina.
Makes sense you know, since they were clearly trying to build up Molina.:eyeroll:

I was looking forward to J-Rock/Soro, that's a good step-up for him. Matching him against Jacobs benefits neither fighter imo.

Who was trying to build up Lara?

It was ESPN and he didn't have Haymon yet. The unofficial scorecards were the same, Teddy Atlas scored it a Draw. That was because the fight was inconclusive, and anyone who can see Lara blocking most of Molina's punches and both fighters just smothering each other could tell it was not very clear. Lara's left hands were the most clear punches landed throughout the fight. I wasn't impressed by Molina's "landed" punches. Go watch the fight, you probably never seen it, stop boxrec'ing.

Maybe they feel J-Rock has more upside if he pulls off the win? Idk what Edwards is eluding to. I do know J-Rock's had a hard time landing fights at 154lbs and he says eventually he would be moving up.

Haymon does make some surprising match-ups now and again. Porter/Broner was an odd one to do and so was Chavez/Fonfara.

Porter/Broner was also at a CW first and didn't they try for a rehydration limit too? There was one fighter clearly benefitting over the other. As for the latter, Chavez was a joke who needed to be fed to someone and Fonfara (entertaining style and can pull a decent crowd in Chicago) was just the man to feed him to. If this is true, J-Rock is being rushed to a title shot he hasn't earned. If I have to choose one LMW to face Jacobs, it would be Lara because of his experience level. J-Rock should be building himself up against the Charlos or Andrade.

                  lol You getting defensive.
I doubt it was Molina the guy the brought in to win.
lol You notice how no one gave the fight to Lara? Shills just giving draw scores to prevent a loss.
Molina is the only guy that got a score, and it was like 7-3. Pretty clear to me.
Not to the shills there to protect Lara from a loss.
If the fight was so debatable, why couldnt two of the judges and Atlas not just give the "close" fight to Lara then?
People just need to accept the fight as a loss and move on.

But why does everyone have this obsession woth Lara.. People act like this dude is floyd version 2.0 but everytime he gets a major fight vs a guy that is tailor made to carve up, Lara can never take care of business in dominant fashion...

Lara is closer to being a Cory spinks, anselmo Moreno caliber fighter, and is nowhere near floyd, hopkins, rigo, etc..

Lara only looks good guys like Ronald Hearns or ishe smith..

Why does no one remember when Carlos molina outboxed Lara???
because that never happened, moilna hugged himself to a draw but the better punches were landed by the Cuban, lets put it this way, if instead of Lara it was canelo, he would have won by a least 5 points...

He has no place at the top of the division right now. That is, unless he takes someone's spot like Heiland/Mago/Wade/Murata. I don't think Lara wants to go through the trenches for a title shot.
he doesn't have to, he is a belt holder and I see them move one weight division to fight for the belt, many times...
