Well seeing how there was a fair share of people calling out controversy to an early stoppage, and Jacobs already giving the green light for a rematch. Isn't Quillin vs Jacobs II gonna happen first. Quillin is proudly giving Lara and Rigo props to their shared Cuban (ethnic) background.

I would rather watch Jacobs vs Quillin II first. It reminded me of Judah vs Tszu. They never made the second bout even though Judah was doing better imo.

One wrong answer from Lara when asked about Jacobs will effectively label him a duck. Agree?
Lara: Obviously the big fights, that’s the reason I’m in the sport. But if we can’t get the Canelos and we can’t get the Golovkins, there’s the winner of Danny Jacobs and Quillin, and there’s Andy Lee. All those guys are targets I want to get at 160 if I get the opportunity.
By Lyle Fitzsimmons - If nothing else, Erislandy Lara has adjusted well to being jilted. Though he considered himself a clear winner when matched with Canelo Alvarez, he hasn’t spent the 16 months since the disappointment result plying his sadness with ice cream and binge TV. He’s OK. And he can talk about it these days without tears. “My mind is that I won the fight,” Lara said. “In this game I’ve been though it before, like in the Paul Williams fight. Another fight where I won the fight but didn’t get the decision. Look, I’ve moved on. I’m a headliner. I headlined my own show in Chicago, which was a good show, and now I’m down here in Miami on ESPN. One of the biggest sports events, the day before Thanksgiving. I’m excited.” Indeed, Lara will tend to his own business on Wednesday night about 10 miles from downtown Miami, where he’ll risk the IBO share of the 154-pound kingdom against No. 17 contender Jan Zaveck at the Hialeah Park Racing & Casino complex.

Jacobs either blows out Lara early or Lara stops Jacobs late. Jacobs hasn't been push for us to know if he has enough in the tank in second half of fights, plus if Mora can drop Jacobs so can Lara.
Lmao. All wrong for Jacobs? What middleweight has Lara beat to make you believe he can beat a puncher like Jacobs?

Judah told Kostya no to rematch before the first fight even happened. He was so confident he was going to steamroll him that he basically laughed at the idea of rematching him.

So Kostya granted him his wishes and told him to pound sand.

But if you recall the context of what we're talking about is controversial stoppage... or else why else was there a mad display from Judah in the ring or months after. Judah had to just deal with it and move on, imo, Kostya did not beat Judah decisively at all, and as I said, Judah was winning the rounds. It's just that Kostya got a lucky shot and Judah got up too quickly and yelled at the ref as he got up and counting. lol

Wasn't controversial at all though, just like Quillins wasn't. A guy doesn't have to have his head caved in for him to be knocked out. Judah was mad as soon as it happened because in his mind, there was no way he could lose. He thought he was going to be the next biggest star, and once Nady waved his hands ordering the fight over, Judah knew that aspect to his career was over too. Judah was not "winning the rounds". He won the first round, and thats it. Then he was stopped in the very next one. That was not a lucky shot. Wait, Zab, is that you?

Tszyu beat an old Chavez that's for sure and Judah was only a year apart from Tszyu at 140 World accomplishment. I suggest you watch that bout again, Judah was the more fancier and skilled fighter from them both. Tell me, did Tszyu clinch on Judah getting some work!? Judah career wise has held his own at 147 and 140 and still campaigning. Seeing classic HBO commentary and continued love for Russian, Ukranian, Kazahk fighters over the black man... I don't doubt certain refs getting paid...

Regardless of that theory, I rate Judah over Tszyu any day by resume opposition alone and moving up in weight. People say Marquez 4 was luck, no, Tszyu bout was luck.

See how quiet they are when it's about fights that can be made in house easily?
