There has been a lot of talk regarding a possible welterweight showdown between Keith Thurman (who holds the WBA 'regular' title) and former IBF beltholder Shawn Porter - two of the more talented boxers under the Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) umbrella of Al Haymon. But as of yet, no date has been set for that match-up.

NOT A THRUMAN FAN BOY, but i dont like kenny...i'd love to see him react to shawn getting knocked tf out..kenny would have no legs to stand on ..nobody wants to train with things over their eyes as they walk around the ring learning where they are with their eyes closed...

Shawn was a regular poster on NSB when he was just starting. He regularly updated us with his sparring and upcoming fights. I thought that was pretty cool. Very down to earth. I was very glad for his success. Hardworking overachiever. He fights like Henry Armstrong, not stylewise, but just in your face constantly working. Shane Mosley also comes to mind.

Idu all the holdup with this fight or why things got switched around from Jan. 23 & all this non info that is out there with this fight in particular as well as others is one of the things I kinda hate with the PBC. They say a date for a guy & than he randomly gets flipped to next week or 2wks down the line or there is a fight like this one that is in some weird unexplainable limbo that no one is able or willing to discuss thats in the know.

I guess if PBC does become the UFC of boxing this will be standard cuz it does seem like this is more how the UFC operates with lil discussion of matchups & poof they just randomly get announced or pop up on cards. Feels a lil weird in boxing & obviously Kenny Porter isn't a fan yet either cuz this is about the third time in 2 months I've read an article here where he says "its on, but idk wtf is going on".
