Yeah, I get you. Don't worry about it, the American Junior team did very well this year and guess what? The four fighters that made it to the finals were all Mexican-American kids. Every Olympic cycle more and more Latino kids are the ones coming out on top and making the team. The first American boxer to qualify to these Olympics is Mexican-American kid.
Soon people will not be able to say Mexican and Mex-Americans have no skills, since they are taking over American boxing from what it looks like.

That makes me proud brother. I have 4 lil boys, 3 amateurs already, i havent made a youtube page yet but i will soon. My boys got dem skillz dat pay dem billz. But anyways chicanos have always had a stronghold on boxing, people just lump us in with our paisa bros down south, the only problem is and im guilty as well is we train our kids a pro style vice an amateur style at an early age...

Sad, but true. That said they have done well bank account wise even if they aren't loved.

WSB is technically not professional boxing though or they would be contradicting themselves. AIBA have said it's "semi-pro" and that's why WSB records don't go into a boxer's (who turns pro after the amateurs and who competed in the WSB) record.
Aren't some people (ABC) still counting those WSB fights as pro fights doe? And I know there are plenty of people that do consider them pro fights. I disagree myself, but there is a debate that seems undecided legally to me so maybe you are correct, maybe not. I'd kinda like to see that get put to the test.

I haven't followed most amateur boxing this year, even the GB team but from my limited exposure and what I have heard and seen since the last olympics, Ashfaq seems a good shout, as does the younger Selby (who maybe should have turned pro already) and guys like Parry and Evans can't be ignored.

Elvin Mamishzada from Azerbaijan is fun to watch, but he is only 5 ft 3 in so he might be too short for a successful pro career.

Andrew Selby has turned pro. His first fight is on youtube

I like Michael Conlan from Ireland. 24yo, Am World Champs Gold medalist, Olympic Bronze medalist, Euro Gold and Silver medalist and Commonwealth Gold medalist. Very talented fighter.

Robeisy Ramirez looked amazing at the 2012 games, but i havent been that impressed with him since. Perhaps he will step up again on the big stage. He's still so young
