  • Is Fury champion of the worst ever HW era?

I'd like to congratulate Fury again, and his fans who are understandably over the moon about this.

But really, this is the worst ever HW era, right? Maybe Fury's accomplishment ain't even that special. Seems he will have nothing but bums and cans to defend against.

At least Fury is financially secured, good for him and his family.

Hahaha, that's rather back-handed of you. I remember, vividly, you claiming it was one of the strongest HW eras a couple of years ago.

If that was the case, it's even stronger now with the likes of Joshua, Parker, Ortiz etc coming through.

It's still a good division with a lot of good prospect coming up.

Fury is certainly not the guy to top anything that Wladimir has done though.

Yup. I'm still in shock from the defeat... but it's amusing to see all the Brits claiming it was a one-sided 'masterclass'.

          It was one sided.

Fury took the piss out of Wlad.

            Right, OK...

Such a masterclass, that he (and Wladimir) only connected with 20% of his punch output. Quality, masterful stuff, that.

I'm not taking anything away from Fury - his tactics, footwork and switching completely befuddled Wladimir - but it was by no means a dominant, quality, one-sided fight.

The Brits are losing their heads (as ever...)

It was meant as an open question, not a statement on my part. I believe we had/have a solid era at hand, I stand by that. But I heard so many trash the current heavyweight division as 'the worst ever', or something like that.

Just wanted to hear from those people whether they still feel the same. Because in that case, there's nothing much to be excited about when it comes to Fury. Just a bum beating some other bum, who ruled a weak division.
