  • just prepare for Canelo giving Zero ****s about the title...doing nothing and keeping it...and then WBC and Sulaiman saying..."what? no, we never mean to really strip anybody. Canelo is a superstar, and for that we are making exceptions"...lol

If Canelo really is bringing in 10:1 on the money generated for their fights. comparably, Canelo will have his camp dictate every term possible in his favor and Team Golovkin won't be offered more than 10% of the take on the fight (the actual number is probably closer to 9%).

If Golovkin wants the opportunity, the terms are the terms and Golovkin really isn't in the position to argue anything.

top dog punks bottom dog; nothing new
that's not how it works per WBC rules when a champion and the interim face off. the money split is 55/45

scipio you been getting sonned all throughout this thread. go sit down somewhere.

Robert Guerrero, as mandatory challenger to Floyd Mayweather Jr's WBC 147 belt, was supposed to get 25% of the pot. Guerrero started making noise about getting that much of the pot, Floyd immediately "started talks with Devon Alexander, stating his willingness to simply dump the belt". Team Guerrero backed off and got paid $3m, Floyd got his downside guarantee of $32m, and the fight went on as planned.

If you honestly believe that Canelo Alvarez is going to pay Gennady Golovkin 45% of the pot (WBC rules only call for such a split on a PURSE BID for such a fight) for a championship that no one in the camp is even talking of trying to defend at 160lbs, you're a ****ing idiot.

Between the PPV, the site fee, and other revenues for the fight, Canelo's fight with Cotto did over $70m in total business.

Even if Canelo, by himself, can only do $50m-$60m in total business, that'd still be near tenfold on the business that Golovkin is currently able to do. try again

Dude has made himself look hell soft when it comes to Ward that I can't hear him or fans talk about other dudes being scared of him.
Ward was trying to get scrub smw's to come up to fight him at 175; now that's hella soft imo.
