At 25 years old, is Canelo Alvarez already a borderline future Hall of Famer?

Thats the point, the fight was very close but people saying Canelo won easy is just plain BS.Comment

hahahahahahaha no. he has barely accomplished anything significant. his first world title (wbc belt) was won at a 150 lb catchweight against matthew frickin hatton!!! it was a gift belt!!!
his best wins are: trout, lara and cotto
trout isn't that great of a win (it's a decent win) and it was very close. i could easily score it a draw. lara beat canelo easily imo and many of the media thought so as well. another gift for canelo. and cotto was WAY past his prime and completely war torn yet canelo COULDN'T EVENT KO HIM OR WIN A LEGIT UD. BARELY beat cotto!!!!
so what has canelo done that warrants even being close to HOF????? what a joke. he has barely done anything of significance. he just gets a bunch of gifts.Comment

He's got the best resume of any 25 year old out there (or I'd be hard pressed to name who gots him beat), but I don't believe if he retired tomorrow it should be HOF worthy. The reality is the HOF has been watered down doe so he could very well get in, but I don't believe he's earned it yet myself.Last edited by Divine Hammer; 11-27-2015, 06:12 PM.Comment
