and I didnt comment on the other point because its the same old same old back and forth "but but but 164 doe" argument that never goes anywhere.
He moved up to get fights when the best in his division wanted nothing to do with him. He tried taking on the best in the divisions he moved to, that's daring to be great.

Staying in a weak division and trying to fight guys who have no business in the division(Cotto) while trying to unify(i'll give him that) and chase money isn't daring to be great. He still said he'd fight Cotto without the belt(money chasing) and from the looks of it would be ok if Canelo just dropped the belt and he was just handed the belt outside the ring without having to beat the champ for it(more Canelo's fault as he and Cotto are making a mockery of the belt).

I'm not here to argue the whole Ward vs GGG crap cause Ward has moved on and signed a contract to fight Kovalev if he can stay healthy. That's daring to be great.

He offered 164 for Ward, 50-50 across the board and Ward turned it down. Once again it was Ward who said no compromise at all, just like he has done his entire career.

Maybe you should have made this thread about Ward instead. And before posters start bragging about Ward moving up to 175, he claimed an injury and has no opponent named at this point in time and nobody knows when he plans to fight again.

"I will fight Froch at 168" - But will not fight Ward at 168. He will move up to fight an active 38 year old, with not much skill, who announced his retirement this year. But will not fight the more skillful, quicker, smarter and younger Ward?

You GGG fanatics need to be realists man. No doubt he is one of the best in the sport but he will not take risks.
He clearly means he would go to 154, for a 154lb title fight with Floyd, not 155, for a middleweight title fight with Canelo.

People give credit to Ward for teh supersix, where his opponents where lined up for him. Before and after the super six, he has done absolutely nothing. Fought absolutely nobody. Its sad.

Well there is a difference between cutting weight to fight Mayweather, and cutting weight to fight Canelo. There shouldn't be any need to fight Canelo at caneloweight for a middleweight title. Besides, Canelo is easily big enough to defend his middleweight title at middleweight.

Ward had just moved up to 168 and fought Kessler in his 20th fight. Followed by, Bika, Froch, Dawson, Abraham etc.

GGG's had 34 fights and not fought one single challenge.

That's why people give Ward credit.

Name me any other fighter in the P4P charts that has faced that level of competion from their 20th fight onwards.

                      Exception is obviously Rigo.
