I'm a loose conservative and I usually to follow the 'established order', which is generally approved by the mainstream media and by the fighters. Bias, corruption and injustice will always exist -- but it only counts at which extent.

Kovalev already had Mohammedi step aside 2x from the mandatory, and then signed in March 2015 to fight in July 2015. GYM ordered an immediate purse bid in April 2015. Luckily for ME, the WBC allowed Kovalev to keep his WBC Silver status, so that they can do another purse bid after the Pascal fight (again).

There was no reason to push for an immediate purse-bid, Stevenson didn't have any other fights lined up. You claim HBO is the problem, but ME made it clear GYM can make HBO an offer and if HBO rejects, then they can move the fight off HBO. For some reason GYM refuses to make HBO an offer?

Pascal is basically top 5 light heavyweight on every creditable 3rd party boxing rankings right now. And Ring has him slightly lower then ESPN. People trying way hard to find controversy when there is really none here. Stevenson has not followed the rules and has fought p iss poor competition that's why he lost his spot.
hes not ranked by the wbc, no6 wba no6 ibf and no3 wbo
fonfara is ranked higher than him 3/4 bodies except the wbo
beterbiev is ranked higher than him all 4 bodies

        1. kovalev
        2. stevenson
        3. beterbiev
        4. fonfara
        5. brahmer
        6. pascal
        7. alvarez

just my opinion, i can care less of espn rankings, theres other guys ranked ahead of him thats ranked below him that shouldnt be.

Rigondeaux just fought on a Golden Boy pay-per-view. Golden Boy owns The Ring.

Stevenson is a PBC fighter. Golden Boy is suing PBC.

          Do the math.
Rigo has NOTHING to do with Golden Boy he was on the PPV because Roc Nation his promoter threw him on last minute a week ago. 2 weeks ago Golden Boy had no idea Rigo was signed by Roc Nation or would be on the PPV. The Canelo contract stated Roc Nation got 1 undercard spot. When Ward pulled out they scrambled and signed up Rigo 2 weeks ago. Rigo's time is coming he is next to get stripped. You trying to hard to take the blame away from Stevenson and his management for turning down big fight after big fight and fighting bums instead

Correct, Hopkins was fighting on Showtime, not HBO. Hopkins was the biggest name in the division, so Stevenson wanted to go to Showtime to fight Hopkins. So you can't act like he went to Showtime to duck Hopkins when he was going to Showtime specifically to face Hopkins.

Hopkins then jumping to HBO doesn't change the fact that when Stevenson went to Showtime, he was going to the network that had the big fish in the division.

You claim Haymon dragged out negotiations to try to get Hopkins stripped, but why would Haymon want Hopkins stripped when it would simply prevent Stevenson from winning that belt? You have no evidence to support that claim and your position doesn't make any sense.

If you feel Stevenson made poor business decisions, you are free to feel however you want, but if you try to claim that Stevenson was ducking anyone, you're out of your mind. He switched networks to try to get the Hopkins fight and he agreed to a purse bid to fight Kovalev, but Kovalev pulled out.

In both instances, Stevenson attempted to make the biggest fight possible, only for the other fighter to back out.
didnt hbo have the rights to match the offer showtime made to stevenson to still keep the kovalev fight on back then?

If Ward could make 168, he would've fought Smith at 168.
              He didn't because he can't

              Keep crying
Ward wouldn't even fight Stevenson at either weight lol.
Stevenson KO'd Dawson and called Ward out on HBO.
Ward just stood there staring into the camera like a dumb ****eyed ****.
              haha I remember that!

Are you serious I'm not talking WBC, WBO or any of these belts with all kinds of loop holes and corruption. I'm talking 3rd party rankings. Some of those organizations don't even rank champions of other organizations. Please keep up son. Pascal on all 3rd party boxing sites such as ESPN, BoxingScene, b0xingnews24, ect all have nothing to do with RING and all have him consistently top 5 ranked Light Heavyweight. You pick the 3rd party he is top 5 ranked everywhere.

The Ring is owned by an HBO promoter. A promoter that is suing PBC. The ring is no more credible than any corrupt sanctioning body.

What big fights did Stevenson turn down? They agreed to face Kovalev and Kovalev backed out.

Some of you guys live in a dream world . . .

Kathy Duva went to the WBC convention in 2014, I was there in the room, and it was widely reported at the time, that she requested a mandatory position for Kovalev and a 50/50 purse bid. Stevenson agreed. Kovalev backed out.

End of story. Everything else is HBO propaganda and spin. You can't back out of a 50/50 purse bid and then claim the OTHER guy is ducking. Reality check dude.
Rigo has no contract with HBO matter fact how bad the HBO broadcasters chewed him out and the fact even when he was with Top Rank they refused to air his last fight there is no indication that he will appear anytime soon on HBO. It was a one off fight because Roc Nation's contract said they could put any fight they wanted on the undercard. Now this is a conspiracy from HBO who has made it clear they hate Rigo and don't want to air his fights even when he was with Top Rank? You sound foolish.

There's no need for explanations or justifying... About a year and a half ago the Stevenson-Kovalev fight was set up, but Stevenson chose to leave for Showtime and Haymon.

I think that HBO Sports should be somehow banned from airing any boxing whatsoever...

so youd take espn, box rec and ring mag rankings over the wba wbc wbo and ibf whom you know are the ones that sanction the fights and determine world champion title fights? gotcha

lets take away unification, and undisputed while were at, koavlev vs pascal for the ring mag, espn and box rec lhw championship of the world, nice ring to it.
