If boxing fans would just step back and look at the timeline we should all boycott every MW lineal champ until they fight the God of War. I mean in the history of boxing when has a mandatory challenger been denied the championship fight three times in a row?!!! HTF did this came about!@!? Where is the outrage in this?!!! Either give the man the shot or drop the fking belt!! And people say they would still call these motherfkers champion when if they drop their belt! You vacate,,,it means youre afraid to fight btch! It means u forfeited! Canelo you either fight or drop it bro...

Canelo will land his body shots from close and slowly take away Golovkin's power, I have no doubt he'll manage that in the early rounds.
Yes, the God of War's latest fight was against Monroe. He was getting tagged and getting hurt...Yes, David Lemieux will KO GGG....

Nelo will have to box his ass off....disarm Lil G's jab and impose his youth and hand speed advantages on the older man....Nelo has a REALLY good chance....Nelo's slip game is underrated....he doesn't get caught cleanly too much....his security system is legit.....I slightly fav Lil G though...and I mean SLIGHTLY....that can change though because the more I think about this fight and watch the two, Nelo looks liver and liver....the kid got skills

So far I read 15 pages and it seems like 50% of posters sincerely believe Canelo can beat GGG.

Even Mexicans don't believe he can beat GGG, but I see a lot of Phlomos saying he can. Wonder why is that?

Gennady Golovkin is a bordering on 34 year old middleweight fighter, who has yet to fight anyone decent and is looking for at least one big payday before his body fails him.

The man's been a professional fighter for a decade now and no one knows how good he actually is yet. Let that sink in for a moment.
Sink what? That GGG is scared of Ward, Lara and Andrade? That GGG is bad boxer/fiighter since he 'fought nobodies'.

That level of ******ity really made strong impression on me...

Well it is easy to comprehend.

Either Canelo is an IDIOT if he agrees to fight next GGG and lose momentum

                Or

Canelo will avoid GGG since he is smart enough knowing that he is not on GGG level yet and he need more advantages to level the fight (age, catchweight etc...). That will make those fanboys IDIOTS thinking that Canello could win since the man himself does not.

Within 2 weeks we will find out who is really IDIOT...

GGG comes forward and doesn't like the inside too much, can be countered and seems to enjoy the taste of uppercuts. Canelo thrives against come forward fighters whom don't use movement to evade his combinations, he sets up nice traps and has some impressive feints to work behind from. He also has nice upper body movement to limit damage taken. However, we all know his stamina isn't the greatest so GGG's power could become even more effective in the later rounds.

Great clash of styles, I would love for this fight to go down.
He loves come forward fighters but not ones with a jab as effective as GGG.
GGG's foot movement is simply too good compared to Canelo's. What will happen is GGG will control the distance all night long. he doesn't need to come forward and cut off the ring all that much as he will have the better of the outside game. He will dominate Canelo with the jab and when canelo is forced to try to come in GGG will catch him with bombs. Canelo has very good hand speed, great combinations and an astute defence but he has two big weaknesses which will cost him this fight, A) his work rate isn't high enough and B) the foot movement is not there. This will result in GGG controlling the distance all night and thus winning the fight. I think it will be a steady and surprisingly one sided beating to be honest.

Where did you get 50% from? granted there are 1 or 2 delusional guys that think Canelo will win but most of the posters are describing how he could win..... which is what the TS asked, they're not saying he would win.

wow that escalated quickly, Now canelo is a masterful counterpuncher lol

I know Canelo was countering Cotto's jab very well, in spots. But that was Cotto's fault, even Roach noted that, and he asked miguel not to throw a lazy jab, because that made him open to a Counter.

Golovkin's Jab is on a different level, no matter what you think, is a accurate, stiff jab. Oh and by the way, I think Golovkin also counters, alot.

Men, all this Canelo is levels above, bla bla bla....reminds me of "Cotto rejuvenation" with Roach

Well lets hope it happens, because even if we know GGG wins it would be an entertaining fight.
