Monroe was tagging Golovkin quite easily from in close, I don't understand why people think Canelo needs to move, it makes absolutely no sense. This fight reminds me of a little something Angel Garcia said about Matthysse, he said Matthysse had never been in a fight, now Angel may have taken it too far in saying that in my opinion but this could very well apply to Golovkin.

Canelo will land his body shots from close and slowly take away Golovkin's power, I have no doubt he'll manage that in the early rounds.

I never said Canelo would stop Golovkin so that's not relevant. I'm saying Canelo with his counters and fast, accurate combinations will be able to get Golovkin's respect/make him think twice before throwing.

I don't remember Lemieux landing anything major on Golovkin, Lemieux is a level below Alvarez anyway. He was getting hit at will with the jab from the first few seconds and couldn't compete with Golovkin, no way will Canelo get hit with the jab that frequently.

Mike, knowing Canelo is 25, got a draw on the cards with Floyd and got very favorable scores with Lara, Trout, and Cotto, you don't think if this fight is in Texas or Vegas that if Canelo gets through he will not get a win?

The ring will be larger than GGG usually fights in so it wont look like his fights in Monaco or Cali where the opponent cant move.

GGG is better than Canelo on paper, but Canelo does bring more than anyone GGG fought.

Being able to get ones' respect is more than just power, timing and placement plays a major role, also being able to variate your attack or utilize feints does as well. Lemieux can't do any of that, he didn't even have his own jab to compete and all he does is throw haymakers, the guy is an amateur in comparison to Canelo.

Exactly. GGG will have to have whipped the **** out of Canelo to not get robbed. 9-3 or something. 8-4 and Canelo will get the robbery.

GGG should stop Canelo though. Cotto was landing some vicious body shots, GGG will have more points of attack and will undoubtedly land a big left hook to the liver at least once.

His power at 160 is probly only average kind of like Geale power

Nobody is "blinded by the hype". You sound as if all the people who favor GGG never seen him and only base their opinion on heresay. In reality people tend to believe their own eyes more than somebody's written words. It does not matter how much time you will repeat "weak resume", they know what they see.

I agree with you on the part of the scorecards, since canelo seems to be the judges sweetheart. On the other hand,I don't think that the size of the ring will make much difference, since canelo is pretty stationary, and will barely move around the ring, especially after round 6.

Hmm,I see. But realistically speaking, not bringing power into the equation, who has the better timing, range control, and footwork between golovkin and canelo?
