I think he's doing the right thing. Stalling and shooting for every advantage in negotiations. They will fight cinco de mayo of 17, which is a win for canelos camp, the date they wanted all along. It will be a prime canelo with a much stronger resume than ggg.

I honestly can't see how canelo pulls it off. I think he's major weakness against golovkin is his poor energy management. The guy can't fight hard for a full round. He fights for a half around and just barely wins rounds against good fighters (lara/cotto/ even trout). Against GGG he is going to get overwhelmed!

He is going to have to throw a lot more to keep GGG off him and if he does not finish GGG early he will be a sitting duck by mid rounds when he is exhausted.
