This was before he signed with Roc

Well he shouldn't of had called Loma in the first place then

Rigondeaux is not scared of any other fighter, the man is sensational.

Still, this fight doesn't seem realistic. Loma will be heading to 130 while Rigo is small at 122...I get the appeal of two great fighters, but it's not likely given the difference in weight.

Why is no one talking about the fact that Hyde was not negotiating on Rigos behalf?

Rigo had already made it clear he was leaving hyde and Hyde was not in contact with Rigondeaux at the time. Rigo had also already said that he wouldnt fight again with Hyde and would sit out the rest of his contract.

All these demands and agreements were with a manager that had pretty much no authority.

Neither guy ducked. They are in different divisions and one was in a huge mess with a manager who he didnt want and a 'promotional team' that seemingly does nothing. Neither fighter was obligated to fight the other one.

It would have been great if it happened, but it was always a long shot.

If we are looking at ducks, how about LSC wanting $3million to fight Rigo, or Quigg being the WBA regular champion for years without ever mentioning Rigondeauxs name or trying to make the fight? Those are ducks. Both were fighting sub par opposition voluntarily while calling themselves World Champions.

                Seems sketchy to me

And I say it again, the one negotiating this fight was Gary Hyde, not Rigondeaux. Hyde was not in contact with Rigondeaux. All the articles and press releases from these negotiations are Hydes words
Heres another one more recent Loma is frustrated and saying everything was agreed too with kilmas translating and that after all the negotiating was agreed to they then wanted more Money.

Funny part is Rigo was the one who started it all and has been calling out Loma on social media. Loma calls his bluff and accepts Rigo's terms and now we have this.
