I'd be hardpressed to argue against Rios being overhyped, but he was far from a bum. Guy was a top ten caliber guy for much of his career. Won a belt. Had many notable fights. Bums don't do **** like that.

Relevant to Rios' younger downfall with the rest of the "warrior" class of boxers is the fact that he ****** at taking weight seriously between fights. I think thats one of those things that shorten careers too.

I dont blame Maidana at all.....I mean even though he lost twice, he kinda retired on a high note and made his two biggest paychecks. Now he can lay low and take care of his family..

Now Mattysee......He almost fell apart when his eye was hurt against Garcia, then the Postol fight....And he was spose to be a monster pre-Garcia
Just not a fan of his style or the way he implements it inside the ring. The rest I can agree with though

Idk man, I was not impressed in his fights with Alvarado, abril, Manny and others. Dude constantly missed weight. Was obviously fighting in divisions he had no business in and to me, never looked top ten to me.

LOL would you call Lara a coward who scared of getting hit and only runs?

Each boxers has their traits, Rios was a great inside fighter and for someone alot of you fake boxing fans like to call a punching bag he took far less damage then some of these so called Real boxers.

Simple, these guys have fighting styles that burn you out quickly. Typically these guys can't perform at the top level once they get past the age of 30. While technicians can push their careers to nearly 40 and be successful.

No tears whatsoever. Im a realist. I don't lie to myself even if it's about one of my favorite boxers.

Some studs like who? He isnt beating Brook, Bradley or maybe even Thurman. He has a chance vs Porter, Chaves and Khan and they arent studs. Only chance IMO which he has against Thurman and Bradley is if he catches them with a big punch, other than that, he isnt beating them. Thurman boxes well with a big punch so I think Thurman stops him before Matthysse gets to him.

4real....Rios dont be taking that much damage outside of Alvarado wars.....Its not like he going around blocking punches with his face like Antonio Margarito
If anything Ruslan is a punching bag.

Exactly, and the damage he took in the Alvarado fight was minuscule if you compare it to the grand scale of boxers in general and damage they took/take.

It boggle my mind how real boxing fans can call him a punching bag and dismiss him as one even though he has a held a world title and you have had great p4p fighters present and past that speak highly of Rios and validate the claim that Rios is good defensively, take andre ward for instance who has spoken on Rios defense and have said that if you really take a look that its really hard to hit rios clean and he rarely gets hit on the inside if at all and goes on to say how Rios is probably the best inside fighter today.

This just proves a subject I was speaking on the day before that today boxing fans confuse being cutesy with being a boxer and everything else is consider bumish style to them which we know couldent be further from the truth.

I feel like people just dont like him....cause of his personality and that freddie roach incident...But on another note, I wish he didnt have weight issues and could have stayed at those lower weights longer back when he was a beast
