Maybe, he's been fighting at 140 his whole career though and he's said in the past that 140 is hard to make. I'd like to see what he could at 147. I think he'd have a lot more energy up there.

not salty but knew your statement came from a place of hate for him rather than just talking boxing legit.

When did he say that? He's been preaching that 140 has been comfortable to make. And the eye has nothing to do with weight.

                This.

Two of my favorite all time fighters were Tito Trinidad & Diego Corrales. Tito won his last fight at 31. Diego won his last fight at 27. Well known warrior Arturo Gatti never won a fight past 33 & he was often given favorable matchups later on in his career.

Matthysse is 33. Maidana is 32. Rios is 29. Not surprising these guys seem like they could be worn down or already out.

I've never really been one to go hard on criticizing fighters for quitting I admit I may have been pissed off in the past by some (Ortiz, until I learned his jaw was broke) but honestly neither Rio or Lucas bothered me that much I just think they were thoroughly beat.

These type of fighters who go through the fire don't last long that's just it.

The only lad I can really hold a bit of hate for quitting is Daniel Geale, nothing worse than getting up after a knockdown and shaking your head to the referee against a small opponent absolutely ridiculous and I don't care how badly GGG beat the confidence out of him or the fact he was drained by 3lbs.

                    Maidana has no motivation

Kind of sad just a year ago these 3 were some of the best action blood and guts warriors of the sport. Has big paydays killed the motivation/hunger for these warriors? We know it has for maidana

It's a brutal sport man. You just got to watch these PBC, TruTV and ShoBox cards during the week to learn about the new generation of ****ers.

He's said it a couple times in interviews on youtube. Believe it or not staying in one weight class for 16 years is hard.
