Isn't Canelo in danger of doing what De La Hoya criticised, waiting until Golovkin is past prime. If the fight marinates, Golovkin will be in his late 30s.

De La Hoya is full of it. He says the winner of the Nov.21 fight is the best MW on planet. Bull, and he knows it.
Canelo either fights or vacates. Oscar is scared and knows it.Comment

I wouldn't mind waiting another fight years for a super fight. Hopefully this one lives up to the hypeComment

Depends on the fights. If Canelo would fight J-Rock, then by all means stay down. But if it's some Tim Bradley bull-****, then **** that.Comment

I agree with your wholeheartedly about the Bradley fight. But no matter the opponent at 154, I don't want to see it. Him and GGG are on a collision course and the longer he stays below 160, the longer the fight is delayed.Comment

I agree. Then he can come back to 'win' the title he vacated. Sorta like Spinks did against Tyson, although in Spinks' case he had retired. Let Golovkin unify everything, give yourself 1-2 more fights to supposedly 'grow' into this MW body that you already have and then come and get smashed by Triple G. If Oscar is serious about the 12 months I would be prepared to wait that long, but not much longer.Comment
That word is just another way of saying his fighter isn't ready for it.
