Being underdog once early in your career isn't good enough. Floyd took a risk early in his career to become a somebody in boxing. But once he became a somebody he did as little as he could get away with.

Don't play that game with me. MOre like he isn't fighting anyone good that's why hes favourite. Its not hard to find someone youd be underdog against unless your name is Wlad klitscho. He literally cant be underdog in a fight because nobody is better than or favoured to beat him. When Floyd is underdog he don't take the fight, because he likes things equal when he steps inside the ring. Even Jeff Lacy was favourite against Calzaghe so its called overating someone.

When you are considered the p4p best fighter in the world EVERYONE is the underdog against you.
No, if he fought GGG he wouldn't be favourite. If he fought Canelo at 160 its not sure who be favourite. So if he is scared of GGG, Canelo might be an option at 160 or Miguel.

I googled the odds out of curiosity. Mayweather was the slight favourite at the time.

        Diego Corrales +110
        Floyd Mayweather Jr. -130

So.... Mayweather has never been the "underdog".

So you're saying "in reality" Zab Judah who had just been soundly beaten by Carlos Baldomir was even odds or less to beat Mayweather?

Who would he be an underdog to..

Floyd would be the favorite over anyone at 130,135,140,147.. Floyd would have to go way up in weight to be considered an underdog..

In the divisions floyd competed in, he was always number 1 and would be the betting favorite over everyone..

So it's kinda pointless to knock floyd for always being the favorite.. It's like being the number #1 college basketball team all year, and knocking them for never playing vs a higher ranked opponent,,

Floyd could have fought manny in 2009 and he would have still been the betting favorite

Floyd wasn't made favourite on his boxing ability. To bet against him in Vegas with the NSAC , USADA , Vegas boxing officials in his corner would be just a waste of $$$$$.
The cheating cowardly POS was never going to be allowed to lose too much $$$$$$$ involved

So is Pac favourite against everyone he fights. He was favourite against JMM but JMM was style wise not great for Pac. But if Pac fought JMM again Pac would probably still be favourite even though JMM ko'ed him
You can knock Floyd for being favourite, as he isn't fighting people he isn't favourite against meaning he isnt challenging himself as much as he could and taking risks.
If you are favoiurite why ask for CWs? You surely can knock Floyd and it isn't hard. Yes hes favourite against Pac because he had all the advantages. So Floyd should fight someone where he hasn't got all the advantages.
The whole point of being underdog is to show people you are better than they thought you were, or try to do what people did in the past.
