MOST GGG fans throw a fit anytime any good fighter is brought up to fight him. But let Cotto/Canelo say 155 lbs and they cowards.

That's such a cheap and common excuse. It's paper-thin as well. Supposedly, most people out there think Lara beat Canelo and the rest of us think it was a close fight. Why is GGG/Canelo a MUST but Lara, who is on the same level as Canelo, is a joke, obvious outcome, etc?? Not asking you specifically, just bringing up a fanboy double-standard I see a lot around here. GGG fans don't need to be shook by Lara.

I'm a GGG fan and I completely agree with this. Dismissing Lara as an easy KO is a BS excuse for not making the fight. You'd think with that mentality you'd love to see Golovkin KO Lara and shut all the haters up. Ultimately, GGG needs to get bigger names. And he needs them now. Regardless of whether or not you like Lara's style, he's a good measuring stick and style matchup. But I'd love to see Lara knock someone off at MW first. Maybe the Quillen/Jacobs winner. Grab a belt and become GGG's mandatory. Bring some momentum to the fight.

As much as I want to see an SOG/GGG fight, I think Golovkin's goal of unifying and reigning in the MW will ultimately be satisfying. Especially, considering all the guys who are coming up at MW or JMW. Eventually, everyone at 160 and 154 will have to go through GGG the next few years.

If we totally honest here we have to admire Lara wants to fight Golovkin. But, tbh it would very likely he'd lose since its almost the exact same matchup as Monroe only difference being Lara is smaller and a little quicker. I know style makes fights but if Angulo can get to him I don't see why Golovkin cant

To be honest the only person I see that beats Golovkin is Ward around 154 to 168. Quillin would look competitive to me but he'd ultimately win someway

GGG fans are not shook, we just know what's going to happen. GGG will KO him and then the haters will say Lara was too small. Cotto and Canelo also suffer the same fate but at least GGG gets to make fans in the process and he also gets the WBC belt.

Lara has no belt at middleweight, and no fans... not that it means anything the 3 of them don't make it to the last bell against GGG.

Saying you have no concerns, then listing a handful of thin excuses is not convincing to anyone. Boxing fans (not Golovkin devotees, but boxing fans) obviously want the fight and that alone negates everything you said.
When a group of people say a guy is great because he beat a slew of forgettable cans, then want to keep him away from a good name because it's supposedly "too easy", that's pure bullshyt. No one is fooled by that.

All i see is twitter trashtalk by his manager, Lara himself keeps quiet and theres no real sign from Haymon that he would allow Lara to fight on HBO.

Lara has still not fought at 160 and only 2 weeks ago his trainer said, he has no plans to move to 160, thats why most people dont seem to take that twitter talk serious:

Well bravo to you for being honest about it! That's correct, he's a name and Golovkin NEEDS a name. The fact that people bring up GGG in P4P talks but he hasn't even fought anyone with a name like Lara is embarrassing. I think the fan mentality is to protect the thing that they love and never place it at risk. Integrity should come above that.

Two weeks ago Laras trainer said they will not move up to MW and now they change their mind and suddenly GGG is ducking Lara who hasnt fought at MW once? Who are you kidding?
