As previously reported, WBA junior middleweight champion Erislandy Lara (21-2-2, 12KOs) could be moving up to the middleweight sooner than anyone had expected, according to his manager Luis DeCubas Jr.

I really hope they can land this. Not that I think Lara would beat him, but that it would FINALLY be a live opponent for Genady. Oddly, Golovkin fans have been freaked out but the ideal of Lara. Why? Good name, better than anyone he's fought. Would bring Golovkin more credibility. I don't think Golovkin fans think he can beat Lara though. Which is a shame because I do.

Look who he fought last. Look at haymon's nice stable at 154 that Lara isn't facing. Lara is the most overrated fighter in boxing and nobody wants to see him fight.
