They were skeptical that HBO would pay enough money to satisfy Lara's financial requirements for such a fight.

Comments Thread For: Lara's Manager Confident Golovkin Would Be Beaten

This is a good sign. No problems with a trainer or manager showing confidence in his fighter. Maybe Lara could get the winner of Quillen/Jacobs and take Jacobs' belt and become a mandatory for GGG? Would love to see Lara at MW fight GGG with a belt on the line. That's not just Twitter BS. At that point Lara would be a great name on GGG's resume and I'd love to be on this forum the day after. There'll likely be a lot of crow eaten on one side.

GGG is held in such a high standard that one of the best P4P fighters on many peoples lists would be an easy prey for Golovkin.
At first GGG had no skills, no defense, would never defeat a slick boxer.
He gets hit easily, would get knocked out by a real puncher.
GGG stops Geale, Murray, Monroe, Macklin, Rosado, knocks out Stevens and Lemieux who are the hardest punchers in middleweight.
People keep bringing up names and downplaying even world class fighters around GGGs weight class.
Its pathetic to see boxing fans trying to downplay everyone and call world class fighters bums because there is one elite fighter who is just one level above.
In some people's book there exist only 1-2 elite fighters and the rest is trash. Thats just sad.

Not asking you specifically, just bringing up a fanboy double-standard I see a lot around here. GGG fans don't need to be shook by Lara.
Bring him on! Call Daddy Haymon. We are waiting.
I doubt Haymon will sacrifice his cuban toyboy.

Decubas, the twitter guy, is bull****ting again. Can anyone in the media please ask this clown if he had consulted with Haymon? Or has he contacted Loeffler yet? What a useless manager.
Look at Eddie Hearns. He talks to all managers, fighters, promoters, even though some are fake negotiations just to lure his target fighter. This Decubas guy is useless. He just talks.

Lara has no belt at middleweight, and no fans... not that it means anything the 3 of them don't make it to the last bell against GGG.
