Someone had to do another gotcha interview on this guy and make him look like a chronic liar like this one.

Forget it doe. The guy can only tweet. They had drop big names to promote their garbage fights. Three cab drivers in a row now with Lara. He made $2 mil for the last two.

Lara himself has been fighting cab drivers since the Canelo fight. It's a terrible addiction. He needs to at least rematch Martirosyan.

Lara's problem is that his style does not appeal to TV networks therefore there is no big money to be made fighting him; high risk-low reward for any fighter.

Professional boxing is a business first and foremost and a fight with Lara is bad business!

Don't forget that casuals show up in mass numbers just to see someone they dislike get clipped.

I would love to see this fight go down for the aftermath on this forum alone. Lara says he wants it, but he's just not doing anything to make it happen. Until he reaches out to GGG, calls him out face to face, or even just fights someone at 160 it's not worth discussing.

            • The real problem that we have today is that the so call "hardcore fans", have became matchmakers too, if two good fighters in the same weight class or close enough to the same weight, wants to fight, why are the fans talking about high risk low reward? Don't you guys want to see the best fight the best? Boxing is not only hit and I hit you back, if you are truly the best then you should be able to beat any style, but the new wave of fans wants the fight to make sense, monetary speaking, they don't care if the two best in the world are facing each other, they want to pay the ppv because their favorite fighter is fighting a bum and they want to see a reel highlight ko...

But hes not really that high a risk. Hes 7-2-2 in the last 5 years with no significant wins. What exactly is the risk involved with fighting him? The problem is, he doesn't want to have to fight anyone since Saul. He thinks hes a big stage fighter who deserves big fights. When he does get a big fight, he schits the bed.

There are no follow ups, nothing. Just let them use you to hype their garbage fights. Very disappointing.
Lack a media coverage for a guy who has who has few fans? What a shocker! Lara must obviously be in big media's pocket for these lack of followup questions.

                    • Anyway, what's going on with Lara? The usual. Everyone ducking.

MEXICO ? The Cuban Erislandy Lara is one of those rare cases in boxing where being so good plays against itself. With this on the table? American Dream? aims to return in April but the difficulty in finding opponents, has not yet been able to announce his return.

According to a source involved in the negotiations, Lara has had to look under every stone a rival enabling him to return to the ring, as being a solid champion, ask rivals face care; however, not been able to get some big name.

All I can say is that back in April. We know there are competitors out there but unfortunately nothing is certain and not one has some of the names that Erislandy himself has been asking for, that's the problem, so we have not been able to make official his return in April because no one wants to face him , said a close source to the Cuban fighter.
