And Angulo beat Bradley back in the day. Bradley gave Andre Ward a VERY tough fight. STFU because you don't know sht. This isn't 5 Degrees of Kevin Bacon game. I'll PROMISE you one thing. HE WOULD of been GGG's toughest opponent yet as a pro. Damn GGG fans give GGG a bad rep.

A top guy??? WTF are you talking about??? LOL! (Lara isn't the top but close) Compared to the clowns GGG has fought that would be like us driving 15 miles and hour and then hitting a wall. Against Lara it would be like us hitting a wall 100MPH....That's the difference of between the can ggg has fought to Lara!

Probably not an awful move if he can't secure a Charlo brother, J-Rock Williams or Willie Nelson fight next. Really those 4 guys should be the only guys Lara should be fighting at 154. This upcoming fight is gonna be Lara's 2nd bs fight with PBC, they need to put him in there with someone real next time out.

Fans need to demand it. Last time there was an opportunity for a Lara/Golovkin bout was right after the Martin Murray fight. I remember most fans strongly rejected the idea of Lara. It was an easy out for K2 to move on from Lara.

At same time Lara needs to pursue that fight like he did the Alvarez fight. To date Golovkin's biggest tv fight was the Curtis Stevens fight, due to all the bad blood Stevens created with Golovkin. All of Golovkin's other opponents have been nice & cordial with Gennady. Lara will bring some much needed friction in the build-up.

Perfect for Golovkin to do in San Antonio. I would imagine his Mexican fans would be happy to show their support as their all to familiar with rooting against Lara in his fights with Angulo & Alvarez.

Yupp it went something like this from GGG fans:

"why should GGG fight Lara? all he will do is run"

"Lara gets blasted out in a couple rounds whats the point?"

"Lara talked himself into a canelo fight and he didnt do shet! Why should GGG fight him?"

"Monroe is a bigger name and an actual MW"

"When GGG blasts Lara out he will get no credit because they'll say he was a JMW!" and so on....

Only thing I wonder is if Haymon would allow. He's ****-blocked every fight in the last couple years involving his fighters on HBO.
He hasn't blocked HBO fights. He was banned from HBO by Ken Hershman. Hershman talked about it last week in his interview with Fat Dan. People wake up blaming Haymon.

Lara moving up makes the MW division better. He'll immediately be a top 5 fighter in the division. What'll be interesting is which one of GGG's belts he'll go after, hopefully it's the WBC. They're the most consistent in enforcing their mandatories. Is HBO willing to go to purse bid for GGG? This is a game of attrition. After Pacquiao's last fight, Kovalev/Ward, GGG/Canelo or Cotto HBO has no big fights left. You can't build a network on Roman Gonzalez.

Hershman is gone now so they're saying maybe PBC and HBO will bury the hatchet

Nice. 154 kinda got boring not much left there for him besides charlo and Andrade which would probably take 5 years to make anyways. I'd like to see him against a lower top 15 guy first see how he does and then go from there.

He killed Quillin/Korobov, refused to negotiate for Russell/Lomachenko, moved Stevenson to Showtime when the Kovalev fight was agreed and now refuses to make HBO an offer on that fight. Also killed Steiverne/Ortiz after that was agreed to.

Haymon just spent over $300mill on tv time-buys and over-pricing fighters to kill out any competition. It goes against his interest to help out his sole competitor in HBO to make their fighter a bigger star, especially at his expense. I think he'd rather sit Lara out than allow him to fight Golovkin.
