You must be confusing Mayweather for Mosley, because he's the only one who went straight from 135 to 147 to fight Oscar. Little Floyd took his time and went through puberty and became a full 147lber first. When Floyd was at 130lbs, he wasn't even chasing Mosley who the 135lbs champ.

I remember a 36 year old Marquez who was undersized at the time at 135 challenging the 147lbs Mayweather. Prior to that fight Marquez probably could still make 126lbs, so there you go.

Floyd beat 3 HOFers at 154 and he had the right to choose whoever opponents that can make him the most money, he fought for recognition and P4P supremacy for the first 11 years of his career, he earned the right to fight for money, money that he earned the hard way by moving up and becoming lineal champion in 4 different weight classes and by being P4P best for 8 years of his career and in the top 10 for 16 years.
Floyd pick and choose his opponents at 154. Oscar & Cotto had both taken bad losses at that point. Oscar lost to Hopkins, took a year off, then had the Mayorga fight prior to Floyd a year later. Atleast when Golovkin called out Froch at 168, Froch was only out just under a year and coming off a streak of big wins.

Cotto had been destroyed by Margarito an Pacquaio, Floyd seen him as pre-chewed food. It's why he allowed Cotto to weigh 154lbs but told Alvarez to be at 152lbs.

You say Floyd earned the right for his money, I say yes and no. Yeah he captured the attention of the masses, so yeah he earned it. But he didn't earn it by beating the best. Picking Gatti over Tsyzu and Baldomir over Margarito and N'Dou & Sosa over Johnston & Lazcano was disingenuous.

Stop with the foolish comparisons please. Floyd only outgrew 130, Floyd could never make 154 ever, at least he tried but it just didn't happen, GGG never even tried to fight at 168 before to see how he's gonna perform there.
I never said Floyd was a 154lber. He never campaigned there, I said he pick & chose his fights there, the same thing GGG haters scream about when GGG tried to fight Froch, Kessler, Chavez. Did Floyd accept Sergio Martinez's offer to fight at 154? Nope. Did he fight Lara at 154? Nope. He could've fought Kirkland or Angulo at 154 instead of Guerrero or Ortiz at 147.. He pick & chose his fights at 154lbs.

And don't lie to yourself. Floyd outgrew 135lbs and 140lbs. His ass would be dead trying to make those weights at 33 years old. Judah dropped back to 140lbs and looked like **** there, but he had no choice because he was taking L's at 147.

I thought he should have definitely got the decision against Martinez but what kind of Martinez was he fighting?

Germans? The Martinez fight was in Argentina because Martinez is Argentinian loool when did you start following boxing?

I'm not attacking Murray, I'm just saying what he is which is a **** average, basic fighter.
I think many didn't actually watch Sturm/Murray and assume he was robbed because it was a draw, and that was around the time that Macklin probably should have won against Sturm.

Why?...to me he's a champion for the way he fought through adversity with a broken jaw against cotto...won my respect from that point on...
