Yea if you feel like you aren't learning anything here go read some of the boxing history threads. I'll just randomly read some of them they are so entertaining & interesting.

Great point, with anon people will speak freer. I think with anon people will create alter egos as well & I suspect a good % of these people speaking freely are doing it for fun or their version of fun anyway.

Man I say this **** all the time. The 26th best MW or WW or whatever weight is a bad mfer!!!! That guy has probably put his life into boxing & in 2 years could be a title holder or "the champion" or he could just be a tough mfer or he could come up massively short & lose the rest of his fights til he retires. Boxing is a tough highly competitive racket & there are thousands of people who are going in on becoming the best possible fighter they can be right now & they deserve a certain amount of minimal respect just for their attempt & I'll always give them that.

The Manny or Floyd can do nothing wrong or do nothing right fans are some of the dumbest or trolliest mfers on the site. There are definitely too many people like that around here. I encourage people to use their ignore button more. Some people here are so f#cking ****** I feel it'll make me dumber if I just read their posts.

LOL as I was saying above. People don't use their ignore button enough. ******ity is more contagious than you think. And just reading or responding to some of the dumb mfers around here can knock off some IQ points on you.

    True dat.
Yeah I really would not expect that if I tell someone I like Floyd, Hopkins, Jones Jr or any black fighter in a real life conversation, that I would be red k'ed, accused of being on welfare, using coke and being ******. I think people are more sensible than that when they don't have anonymity. I'd be shocked to actually hear the insults and race baiting people say here, it would be shocking to finally meet someone like that in real life and is not afraid to say these things, but that is never the case. These same fans know better than to say such lousy comments in real life, they don't want to be looked at for who they really are inside that messed up head of theirs. I can honestly say I stand behind my opinions having in-person conversations with other boxing fans. The fighters who i'm critical of and the opinions I have I can say freely here and in a real conversation cause I don't have some kind of split personality where I hide it in person and set it free on the internet where your family, coworkers and friends are not there to see your messed up comments and stereotyping races.

Where are you in the Ring Record book and who'd you ever throw fists with. I could name champions, former champions, future champions, beginners and everybody in between that I threw fists with.

I never once claimed to be a world champion.

I was taught this sport by some great trainers in the gyms of Detroit. Where'd you learn yours?

So take your playground fight knowledge and kindly shove it up your ass.

Technically no. Boxing business, history, how racially divided it is, yes indeed. Before joining BS, I had no idea people were still so racist and bigoted. But it makes sense, people have anonymity so they can be themselves here. Speaking to fans in person there is no way you'll hear the things you read here.
The bold is true for me as well. Apparently I've been naïve, never imagined so many people harbored ill will towards folks they've never met. Overall the site is entertaining though which is why I visit. When I want to hone my skills or knowledge I hit the boxing gym...

This forum has given me a disturbing insight into fan mentality, but I can't think of any technical/ technique based things I learned here.

I have learned a whole lot about boxing history and new events that I was unaware of though.
this ^ most dudes on here have never laced them up. its like being a football critic who's never played a game. wtf can you know about it?

Not really, this place is killing my brain cells. I only really come on here for the news but can't resist posting sometimes. Very few people on here actually understand the sports.

Definitely wouldn't know as much about boxing if I wasn't a member on this site, as far as the history, and just little things like how a fighter is so effective, and stuff like that.

And this is a good site for people that bet on fights, because you can read about all the ways fighter A could beat fighter B, and vice versa, then just come to your own conclusion on how you think the fight will go, with good points from both sides of the fence.
