Has Being on This Forum Increased Your Boxing Knowledge?

I've been on here for over a year now and well, I would have to say I've learned a good deal since joining.

I learned the difference between walking a fighter down and cutting off the ring. I'm glad that got cleared up. It was really throwing me off. Not anymore.

I've learned who more of the fighters are than I previously did which has been great. I knew nothing about Kovalev but the posts have helped a lot.

Overall, I learned my opinions are just as flawed as many other people's. It's been a lot of fun and I look forward to future interactions.

It sure did. I learned that a single loss will instantly make a fighter a bum, Floyd is TBE, the sacred art of ducking, and apparently some fighters are also firemen. Pretty good stuff.

75% of the technical stuff I learned was from the gym, 25% from watching fights.
This forum has given me a disturbing insight into fan mentality, but I can't think of any technical/ technique based things I learned here.

I have learned a whole lot about boxing history and new events that I was unaware of though.

Technically no. Boxing business, history, how racially divided it is, yes indeed. Before joining BS, I had no idea people were still so racist and bigoted. But it makes sense, people have anonymity so they can be themselves here. Speaking to fans in person there is no way you'll hear the things you read here.

Yes I have found I've learned a bit by being in the forums. A lot of inanity but some good stuff here and there.

Yes, the internet is a funny place. When people aren't face-to-face, they definitely say plenty they wouldn't otherwise. It's kind of neat though, like you get what they actually think instead of a masked or softer version.

I'd say I've definitely learned more about the business side as well. It can be pretty ugly, but it often times tells you what is going to go down well before it does. When you look at it from the business standpoint, you see why certain fights get made and others do not. Lots of insight.
