Comments Thread For: Crawford: Golovkin Didn't Face Ward Due To Big Risk

Crawford praised Golovkin but at the same time he sees what many of us do: he wouldn't face Ward because of the big risk of losing that fight.
Props to Terence for keeping it real and bluntly stating both the good and the bad when it comes to GGG.Comment

It's hilarious. Nothing he said was disrespectful. He gave his opinion on who would win and said that GGG doesn't need to take that risk right now. Everything he said is 100% truth. But what else do you expect from the worst fanbase in boxing right now?Comment

Crawford is on that Ward train too. He said he is the best active fighter today>? Really Active? Wow! Why doesn't Ward challenge Kovalev? exactly he is trying to fight a guy who is a division or two now below him. Plus What has Crawford done to get to fight Pacquaio. Beat Dierry John and Gamboa. Give me a dam* Break.
Ward moved up ONE division to face the Boogieman Kovalev. Thats exactly what he is doing.
GGG is trying to fight a guy who ON FIGHT NIGHT is a division below him (Cotto).....
No difference here.

GGG's team did not want anything to do with Ward, hence the 164 Catchweight and multiple statements reminding WARD that GGG was the A-side.
Nothing but the truth! Crawford calling it like it should....
Now Crawford would get crucified by sharing the "gospel" (The Truth) (Like Jesus)Comment

Nah, TC spoke the truth, just incomplete truth. Ward's a high risk and low reward. Golvokin's team have been saying this for months - Andre needs to start fighting again before the risk/reward ratio is worth it.
Example, March 2015:
"I respect Andre, he is great champion. Fight with him, my first focus is 160. Second, I want pay-per-view fight. Excuse me, Andre, fight with him now is not pay-per-view fight. It's not unification fight, not pay-per-view fight, just nothing. Just for fans. For future, of course, maybe next year, maybe for future. Of course."Comment

Why the **** would he come down to 155 for Canelo.
Canelo is 20 pounds heavier than Floyd. Coming down for Floyd makes thing more even between the two.
Coming down for Canelo gives Canelo an advantage, because although he is heavier than GGG, he is used to cutting down to 155.
And if GGG was worried about gin Canelo's 15th ranked P4P scalp, why are they saying no way.
It's not as if Canelo is considered a great fighter.
He is a full blown MW who is currently looking to fight WW because he can't hang against guys his own size
Im saying he won't cause he can't make 155
Secondly , its impossible to have a intelligent debate if there's no universal standard to agree on as far as whether a fighters a welter , middle , super middle ect act . Trying to argue that a fighter is really a middle or super middle weight based on how much weight they can or can't cut is a straw man argument .
Universally the only standard we can use is what they fight at according to the universal standards of what any weight class is . u attempting to use your own standards muddies the water and makes for unintelligible arguments .Comment
