Floyd won't come back for both of these, he my come back for one if PAC ends up with it, but I'm not sure.

    I'm wondering the same thing.

I'm seeing people complain about it while acting as if this doesn't basically strip Floyd of these title.

Why it does is means whoever wins the title, if Floyd wants to fight them for it, he can.

    Dudes earned that.

Emeritus champion. Super champion. Regular champion.

Would it be too much to ask that we have only one world champion at each weight?

While letting others fight to be real champ.

If he comes back, the only way he can fight PAC for the belts is if PAC wins the Belt in Khan matchup. What's wrong with that.

As for Canelo, Actually, yes. This move seems to indicate they will do exactly that.

This vacates Mayweather's title, while if he comes back, he can fight for them, but doesn't automatically get them back.

The WBC and GGG have signed agreement with Cotto/Canelo. The WBC will very much strip the winner if they don't either fight or vacate.

And they won't automatically give Canelo Emeritus. It's not how it works, and it would be a PR **** storm.

Likely, but this move doesn't help Canelo in any way.

Mayweather has said he has no interest in Canelo.

I don't see why he should.

If he wants money, PAC is the best option.

Canelo won't have a title to offer him, so it's really pointless to fight him if you're Floyd.

Canelo will have a title to offer him you moron. There is no way Cotto beats Canelo.

Ah, I'm the moron. And you don't know Canelo is gonna vacate that belt.

Unless Canelo fights GGG, he will lose that belt.

By Jake Donovan - It doesn’t seem to take much to please some in the boxing industry. Miguel Cotto and Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez are less than a month away from their head-on collision, which will take place November 21 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada. The World middleweight championship is at stake, with Cotto making the first defense of his crown. Looming overhead, however, is the winner mandated to face the man widely regarded as the best middleweight on the planet – unbeaten Gennady Golovkin. The reigning middleweight titlist is less than two weeks removed from a one-sided 8th round stoppage of David Lemieux in front of a sold-out Madison Square Garden in his first-ever unification bout and also his first Pay-Per-View headliner. Both Cotto and Alvarez have already begun to speak of what terms they would likely demand in order for such a fight to take place. Alvarez’ name has already been floated as – with a win – a luring prize for the victor in the November 7 clash between welterweight titlist Timothy Bradley and Brandon Rios.

That belt will be vacated if he fails to make weight. Yes he must fight GGG or he will get stripped. BUT YOU KNOW THE WBC WILL ALWAYS MAKE AN EXCEPTION FOR FLOYD MAYWEATHER.

You realize the WBC just stripped Floyd of two belts.

You just gave me three versions of how they keep the belt in two sentences.

Look, the WBC has been VERY CLEAR. GGG has waited long enough for his shot.

No they won't, WBC, GGG, Canelo, and Cotto already signed an agreement.

Canelo has 15 days to decide, if he doesn't agree to fight GGG, the belt is stripped and GGG becomes Super Champ.

WBC already addressed this. Floyd Mayweather can't do anything about the MW belt.

In Fact, the WBC just stripped Floyd of the 147, and 154 belts. They made him emeritus, but that only gives him a shot at 147, 154 if he comes back.

By the time Floyd comes back, GGG and Canelo will either be training to fight each other, or GGG will own that belt.

And what do you mean fail to make weight,

Upon winning the Belt, Floyd would vacate it, then GGG and Canelo would fight each other for the Belt.

                  That's not happening.

Ok, this has been well documented. Either your trolling, or you really haven't been paying attention.

Cotto was supposed to fight GGG for the belt.

                  Cotto wanted Canelo.

GGG signed step aside agreement, allowing Cotto /Canelo, but only if he gets winner or if they refuse, he gets belt.

So if Canelo wins, he has 15 days to inform WBC if he plans of defending it against GGG.

Most boxing scribes believe Canelo is scared of GGG, and rather get KO'd, will vacate.

If he does that, GGG walks away with title.

If Floyd wants it, he has to fight GGG.

Ring Magazine said they'll do the same with lineal title.

Ok, now we're on same page.

If you think anything else is happening, your gonna be let down.

Small but critical correction. The winner of Cotto/Canelo will have 15 days to begin negotiations with GGG, once negotiations begin they will have 30 days to complete negotiations and submit a contract to the WBC. If negotiations do not begin with in the 15 day period, WBC may at it's discretion, strip the winner. It's important to note that Sulaiman has not actually said Cotto/Canelo would be stripped, He has only said they "RISK" being stripped. Take that for what its worth.
