Yeah, but he won't beat Kovalev.

What he will do is have 2 more tune-ups against easy opponents, being paid $2million for each, then he'll get injured or start asking for too much money for Kovalev or whatever.

I think Kovalev shall have some kind of backup plan. Waiting for Ward could be proven fruitless. For instance fight Beterbiev in Russia. Or get that Russian tycoon as a co-promoter and force purse bid with Stevenson. Ward is a slick individual and I don't believe he is serious about fighting Kovalev.

          ^^^ Pure Hater right here!!

If Ward VS GGG (Notice I put Ward's name first, since he should be the A-SIDE LOL) ever happens. I will bet all my points Ward would school and maybe stop GGG.

Not a fan of Adrien Broner, but Broner has more respect in my book than GGG.
Adrien Broner skipped 2 divisions to fight Maidana (more than 10-15 pounds) and was brave enough to face Shawn Porter too. (Compared that to GGG's efforts to meet Cotto/Canelo a few pounds below) (compare Broners opponents vs GGG's) ... Not even close... Shameful, right?

          Adrien Broner >>> GGG
          Nuff Said, bro

              Ward?
              Lara?
              Cotto?
              Canelo?

              Oh right, Lee.
Not to mention that Ward is actually changing weight classes to go after Kovalev. The last time I saw a ballsy move like that was Robert Guerrero jumping two weight classes to go after Mayweather. Yet, these humble guys are disrespected by casuals because they aren't being pushed by the hype machine. Really weak how every hardcore ggg fan on here feels that they need to trash Ward. It only exposes their ignorance, insecurity, and does nothing to bolster Golovkin.

              ^^^ Nothing but the truth!!

Why not? He was willing to fight Golovkin and is going to face Kovalev at 175.

It's obvious he fears no man.

Kathy Duva seems very naive for a boxing promoter. But even she must know better than bank everything on Ward fighting Kovalev.

She and Krusher will get on with their business, and let Ward get on with his. Unification with Stevenson, and/or Beterbiev in Russia would both be much bigger fights for them than Ward.

If Ward wants to fight Kovalev next year, all well and good. If he doesn't, no harm done - except to Roc Nations finances. Lol.
