[QUOTE=rajaomair;16186248]Exactly, and here are some others who ducked/ducking GGG

2---Peter quillin - said he will only fight for the may-pac kind of money, lol + he flew to Haymon to avoid GGG

6---Julio cesar chavez jr - Turned down 12mil offer by TR

Peter Quillin has been with him since 2012 WAY before you even heard of him you RTARD!!! He was ranked #10 at MW back around then... Now what???

Chavez Jr. agrees to $1 million weight penalty for Golovkin fight. Golovkin’s promoter Tom Loeffler of K2 Promotions wanted the weight penalty.

That was AFTER the fight was agreed upon. Soo GGG's people are LIARS who don't honor their words. They were so scared they even wanted a hydration clause in their...The Bob Arum BS came way later. And by then even as high as he was Chavez told them go F-off.

Just goes to show what a bunch of liars GGG Team is... 154-168 lol!

Goes to 154 for what they believe is soft opposition. Will go to 168 for what they believe is soft opposition and is staying at 160 because opposition is soft

      20 defenses doe

He doesn't really bring anything to the table if you think about it. Cotto is the lineal champ and has the only belt that matters. Winning another belt doesn't really do anything for Cotto. If he wins that fight people will look at GGG record and be like who did he really beat?

He is a threat like Ward is to many people but without Wards resume. I can see the winner of Cotto vs Canelo going back for a rematch immediately especially if it is a good or close fight, or they drop back down to 154 lbs.
If Canelo could make 154 without adverse affect he'd be there now.

Certainly Ward must not think himself to be P4P #1 fighter in the sport; why else would he be selecting such soft opponents?
He's ranked #5 by the WBC. And he no better than 95% of the people GGG fought.

I might have to go back 3 years to see a REAL fighter Ward fought but...

I would have to go back 11 years to see GGG fight a REAL fighter GGG fought.

Sanchez just saying if Mayweather wants that fight Golovkin will make th ehuge effort to get to 154 and take the money and fame.
I agree - 157 for Cotto from sports point of view ..... I don't agree from a sport point of view with 157/158 for Alvarez - but should be done for financial reasons.

idk why he's takin' such soft opposition but i think its more of virgil hunters doing bc they seem to be selecting these type of fighters based off the styles i'd say i have no idea why bc im not in their camp BUT one thang i do know is that
besides "power" & "reach" Andre Ward has every other conceivable advantage over all smw's & lhw's
We know his chin is not the strongest. Also we don't know how mentally tough Ward is when the going get's tough as he's never really been there yet - but I think we'll find out with the Kovalev fight.

G monster and Floyd at 154? That's easily the biggest fight in boxing, bar none. GGG said he'd fight Floyd, (3 time 154lb champ) at 154. Both are old. Offense vs defense.

Only to you and a few other people on these boards who can't follow a logic train of thought.

Its about making fights that public want to see happen + making money + winning where possible. This is a promoters job.

154 for Mayweather is a fantasy fight for Golovkin and many fans. Mayweather already said he could beat Golovkin and is just a straight up and down fighter. This is about money. 154 will see Golovkin seriously weakened and they probably know they might well lose a decision with Mayweather on his bike all night long. But for the money worth it.

Cotto at 155 is a more dangerous fight and anyway G is mandatory. Why seriously weaken for a smaller payday than Mayweather and when it's supposed to be for MW championship. 157/158 makes more sense.

Canelo? Ditto Cotto but even less appealing as he re-sizes to equal or heavier than G.

Froch - it was to do with legacy and money. Perceived as tough but winnable

Chavez, less legacy, more money (before Chavez lost to Fonfara)

Ward - super risky fight, much less money - so he can have it at 164 or bugger off until he's a bigger name

154 - 168 - Sure. Anybody. But nobody said at what weight any particular fight would take place at.
