No he doesn't. Golovkin and his team know he'll be weakened at 154 which is why they will not go that low for Canelo or Cotto. Since Floyd isn't a natural light middleweight he is seen as less of a threat with an even bigger payout as an added bonus. Canelo and Cotto or more competitive fights if he drains himself and his team knows it.

GGG still hasn't faced anyone we care about, so if he can make 154 for Floyd, why not do it for a guy that can get you 1 million buys on ppv along with the biggest purse of your career?

He doesn't really bring anything to the table if you think about it. Cotto is the lineal champ and has the only belt that matters. Winning another belt doesn't really do anything for Cotto. If he wins that fight people will look at GGG record and be like who did he really beat?

He is a threat like Ward is to many people but without Wards resume. I can see the winner of Cotto vs Canelo going back for a rematch immediately especially if it is a good or close fight, or they drop back down to 154 lbs.

Cotto and Canelo both are fighting for 160lb straps, have lolligaged somewhere in between for too long and should man up or **** off. There's no reason for a 155 lb catchweight. Maybe 158 at the lowest. But a pound over 154 is ridiculous.

As far as the Ward thing, there is absolutely nothing to compare to the Floyd thing like the Floyd fans so love to do. Floyd 3 time champ, GGG never been to 168. Furthermore in his 1st fight at 168, GGG shouldn't be required to face Ward. Luckily we've heard Ward decided to put on his big boy boxers and go hunt some big game, time will tell.
i agree with the cotto canelo part 155 is a bit much the more i think about it if were taking 157 158 tho thats reasonable in my opinion. mayweather tho is smaller it just dont make sense at least not at his current age its just my opinion tho

Certainly Ward must not think himself to be P4P #1 fighter in the sport; why else would he be selecting such soft opponents?
well he's on the p4p list of the majority of fight fans pundits journalists and current boxers and most trainers.
idk why he's takin' such soft opposition but i think its more of virgil hunters doing bc they seem to be selecting these type of fighters based off the styles i'd say i have no idea why bc im not in their camp BUT one thang i do know is that
besides "power" & "reach" Andre Ward has every other conceivable advantage over all smw's & lhw's

Loooooooool. "Unifying middleweight is the priority doe".

If Mr. 97k wants a fight, he better be prepared to come down to 147.

GGG will fight Canelo at 155! I don't care what they say right now.

Floyd only goes to jmw for big paydays just like GGG only goes to smw for big paydays. GGG can't draw flies to **** and the excuse once Floyd beats GGG ass will be 'he was weight drained'. Floyd has proven himself against the best ten times over......GGG is a can crusher at best and it will remain that way until GGG grows some balls and steps up.
