Are you suggesting Canelo would be considered the lineal champ even if he avoided a fight with the number one contender? That's the only reason he'd drop the wbc belt, to avoid that mandatory.

What would be the point of a catchweight that you can miss and still fight for the title? There would be no tangible punishment for missing the weight.

And he doesn't want any part of the best fighter in the division.

You can't vacate to avoid #1 contender, then fight 1lb above the lower division and remain The Champ gtfo. #1 rule is, you must be a MW to be MW champ. Makes sense?

Yes i am,there is no rule for the Ring that you have to fight any mandatories nor the lineal title.....

Dariuz Michalczewski never fought Roy and remained Lineal

Then it's bogus. Being the real champ means fighting the number one guys. If you're not doing that it's a paper title.

They've probably implemented major financial penalties for missing weight.

he was 154.5 on his last fight , dont you worry he will be just fine...

What I found strange is the fact that GGG holds belt of a different organisation but the WBC made him their mandatory for their belt. Is that a new thing? Has it ever happen before?
