I was not talking about "popularity" at any moment. Popularity means nothing without the respect for your accomplishments> (GGG's exact situation) (exactly why I am NOT YET a GGG fan, even though I watch all his fights and like him) In fact, What I am talking about and the main reason why I am NOT YET a GGG fan is due to his "LACK OF ACCOMPLISHMENT" while being tagged as "The best MW in the world" "GGG is HOLDING ALL THE CARDS" (As you said) I am not a fan of Canelo either but I respect his RESUME and accomplishments something I can not do yet for GGG. Canelo at 25 yrs old has a way better resume, record breaking numbers etc.... While GGG at 34 and his management STILL trying to make him a superstar while acting like they have leverage against the ONLY TWO fighters that can help GGG reach to TOP LEVEL business wise. Its not GGG fault for his lack of better opposition, AGREED, Its his MANAGEMENT'S FAULT for refusing fights while pulling the "A-SIDE" excuse against (Ward), "the Popularity excuse" against (Lara), "getting all belts now maybe later" to a 50 yrs (Hopkins)..... Thats bad managament!!!

He wasn't offered fights vs Lara or Hopkins or even close. And we know about Wards joke offer, his mgmt would have to be beyond incompetent to sign that

Canelo is not an Aztec Warrior, he is Ariana Grande

Its bad enough Cotto/Canelo are fighting for 1 MW belt at 155. Now Canelo wants a shot at picking up 3 at this mythical 155 division.

155 is the "I'm a ***** and I'm scared of GGG division.

If the goal is mass appeal then GGG is going to have to fight at 155. I don't see how GGG fighting some scrub for the vacant title helps him at all. In order to get the big money fight he's been yearning for he has to bow down to the Canelo/Cotto winner.

Naw, he isn't gonna let that little ***** Canelo have a shot at 3 MW belts at 155.

I don't see him bowing, and it's Canelo who is taking mad heat for being a *****.

GGG needs to sit tight and let Canelo show the world he is a scared little red headed *****.

This is a terrible strategy by K2 and team GGG. The main complaint of GGG is that he fights nobodies, his resume is weak. K2 and team GGG are doing nothing to change that. So lets say Cotto/Canelo vacates, GGG picks up the title, beats Tureano Johnson and beats the winner of Lee/Saunders. People will still say his resume is weak. None of those fighters do anything to stem that criticism. So now he's sitting there as the unified champion. Who does he fight next? This path to gather all the belts does nothing to make GGG great. If Cotto/Canelo vacates K2 and team GGG needs to come up with another strategy because Johnson, Saunders/Lee is not the path to greatness. And again, after Johnson, Lee/Saunders, who does he fight next?

As if beating Canelo is suddenly going to shut up those critics.

And as Unified, Quillin, Eubanks, Canelo, Lara, Andrade, all of them will be begging for a shot.

K2 knows as Unified they will have the pick of the litter.

And Canel is the one under pressure to fight GGG and stop being Ariana Grande.

Personally I don't think Canelo fights GGG for at least 2 more years. GGG is already 33. Time isn't on GGG's side. No way Canelo fights this dude while he's still in his prime.

Sure, Canelo may try to wait him out.

But by then his career will have been tainted by this ***** move.

Canelo will eventually grow out of his 155 lb class. So I'd say that GGG should just take the vacated belt. He will then be in the drivers seat for all MW title fights in future.

Besides a Canelo-GGG fight will also be better in the future when both are 160 lb'ers anyway.
