This is who Rigo chose to manage his career. I have zero sympathy for him.
    And here is the CEO:

There scum bags, The Loma fight was there, 2 fighters who wanted it and these guys probably only think about the money they could get out of Rigo, they have no one else. But if he is loyal to them then that's on him, he should not complain then.

Rigondeaux signed a co-promotional deal with Top Rank when he won his WBA title from Rico Ramos. Arum was high on him and even stated that him and Gamboa would beat Donaire's ass if they ever fought. He put him on the Pac/Bradley undercard against Teon Kennedy and momentum was building.

But then Caribe became a pain in the ass to work with. Arum tried to make Rigondeaux vs. Marroquin on the Chavez Jr./Martinez undercard but Caribe sued Top Rank because it was in violation of the co-promotional agreement. Arum was obviously pissed but they were able to work out a deal.

Arum got him another co-feature against Poonsawat Kraetingdanggum on the Donaire/Arce card to build the Donaire/Rigo fight. Unfortunately Poonsawat failed the pre-fight blood test and it was called off. Then the Donaire fight was being negotiated and Caribe was making things real difficult as usual. You can see the article about Arum talking about how Rigo needs to re-evaluate the people "he has in his ear". They worked out a deal and Rigo made $750K.

Arum then tried to get him a fight against Chris Avalos in Macau on a Zou Schiming undercard. Caribe said no because they felt Rigo should be making more than Schming. So once again they pissed off Arum so what does he do? He pays them back and says "OK, you want to headline, I'll give you a headline". So he talked HBO into getting him a headliner in Atlantic City on the same night as Judah/Malignaggi. The fight severely flopped and Rigo was the victim of Arum shoving it up Caribe's asses.

After that Rigo just fought out his contract and became a Caribe only fighter. Gary Hyde worked to get him fights in Japan but they turned their nose up at it because "a champion of his status shouldn't have to travel to Japan." Hyde also worked out deals with Roc Nation and Frank Warren but Caribe rejected because they didn't like the terms for them.

I'm a Super Rigo fan but this is all on him and his team. I can't feel sorry for them being delusional, difficult to work with and burning every bridge in the industry.
I still can't believe how they snubbed Japan. Rigo could have done great over there with tough guys that made exciting fights and a fanbase that would support him for it.

".....The championship committee reviewed the resolution and voted unanimously to present it to the executive committee, who in turn voted unanimously to adopt the resolution. Rigondeaux was stripped of the title due to “extraordinary inactivity.”

unanimously......so there is not even a case for appealing........

After the letter from Oct 7th, the leeches instead of securing a fight(with any of the 15 ranked) tried to get him off by writing a letter, biatching and complaining about the other fighters. Rigo, you got what you deserve, can't really feel sorry for you.

Gonzalez and Rigo down the road sounds awesome.
Lets not forget the guy looked a foot taller. Floyd would have got tagged plenty too if he fought someone that much taller then him.

Rigo does have a weak chin it appears. Floyd had a pretty good chin IMO.

So he stopped all those guys and didn't get dropped by any of them.

                Thanks for proving my point.

And anyway, i'm not sold on Gonzalez as p4p number 1 either, but his skillset and career is a hell of a lot more convincing than Rigondeaux.
I dint know how much Gonzales weighs...but I'd fancy him to stop glassy Guillermo. Never seen all the hype in him...he has a helluva left hand is about all, and only has one professional win worth note.

I like LSC chances of beating him, Lomanchenko....Lord willing he would move up to 126 then he's toast.

I don't like Mayqeather much at all....but Rigo isn't half the fighter Floyd was. Even an old, past it Floyd was able to slug it out with Maidana and Cotto. I could not see Rigo being able to do anything close to that...he has no plan b by my measure.

But as i said, people are choosing to ignore these things. I'm not sure why people are blind to it. The proof is all there on video from his pro fights.

There are many better fighters than him in the sport right now.
Defense so Leaky, he has better defensive stats that Mayweather. Right? Makes sense, cause Floyds defense is super leaky, and definitely not one of the best in the sport.

And 20 pounds heavier he was fighting a welterweight pretty much.
