Why are you lying so much? Golovkin never said anything about beating Canelo or Cotto at 155. He said he would go to 154 for Mayweather. 154 is a legitimate weight class where Mayweather had a title. 155 is not a weight class. On top of this none of Canelo/Cotto is not even close to Mayweather in historical significance. If it is maybe worth (in his mind) to weaken himself for the Mayweather fight (which I personally do not agree and think that this is a mismatch either way) it is not worth to weaken himself for Canelo/Cotto - ESPECIALLY WITH THE MIDDLEWEIGHT TITLES ON THE LINE. If they would not agree to fight him at the proper weight - so be it. He will take the title in court or by WBC decision if the latter will be true to their words. Then he will fight real middleweights like Andy Lee and become undisputed middleweight champion. He does not need to cater to the haters like you who want to see him lose and weaken himself by losing weight. For some reason "daring to be great" is the argument that is applied to the fighters you like to see losing.
It is so transparent that all this ploy from Canelo and Cotto fans is to lure Mayweather to fight for "lineal middleweight title". In process of this they are disregarding the fact that all the sides involved are mocking this title by applying ridiculous catchweight demands. For instance, Cotto fans claim that Cotto beating Geale is the same as GGG beating Geale. The difference is getting lost only on very casual fan, who does not pay attention to the contracted weight.

Actually, Lara could do the same if he is serious about fighting Golovkin. Beat some credible opponent at middleweight. Somebody like N'Dam, for instance. I'm just not sure that Lara can actually win such fight.
