Its times like this that I wish boxing were run like the UFC. Dana White would have suspended either Cotto or Canelo for refusing to fight.
I believe that is exactly what should happen, they can go fight on the Tijuana fight channel but HBO & Showtime should ban these divas when they act like that.

Weren't you for the idea of ggg vs mayweather? I don't agree with the Canelo options either, I'm just saying let's not be hypocritical.

If u go and check my posts, you'll see that I stated a fight between GGG and Floyd is unrealistic as someone will have to sacrifice too much of a weight disadvantage and the winner will never receive full credit. If it were to happen I'd definitely tune in but it just seemed a bit unrealistic.

I don't doubt they give up the title, but it doesn't help Golovkin. He doesn't need a belt handed to him as much as he needs a big win againt a big name, big money fighter. GGG might have a strong following in the boxing world but as his ppv numbers show, he's not yet a household name, a win over Canelo or Cotto would make him one.

                  Yes, ****ing ridiculous.

Canelo: I'm not ready for GGG unless it's at 155, now I'm off to fight 1 of 2 small ww.

Everyone will take a hit of neither of those fights happen. The winner of Cotto/Canelo will take a big reputation hit and wont be able to cross the street without being questioned about GGG, while GGG will take a short term marketability hit without the exposure of a fight/win over Cotto or Canelo.

It will be worse for lil g, Cotto/canelo will still be able to fight in a ppv fight, lil g will be 35 with no significant ppv fights while facing cans, and we know he cant sell any ppv's. So its off to obscurity for him, he's gonna have to come down or go up a division (oh wait Ward is there, so he's stuck) Cotto or Canelo can face bradley, thurman or a host of other boxers, lil g will fade to black, he only has a few years left
