Beating Cotto or Canelo (lower weight guys) may not make him a PPV attraction for this reason :

Many already view him as a bully who's not only already beaten the best in his division (Murray , Leme) , but who's squatting in that division to avoid real challenges and continuing to pad his record . Furthermore , most already know he's too good and strong for 160 . Now how is it gonna look when he looks south instead of north for future opponents ? It could backfire terribly .

For one that doesn't matter, Chavez Jr was a bully and weight cheat and was still a PPV draw. Ggg makes 160 easy. Second, yeah of course Ggg is the best at MW but the ratings say otherwise. There's a "I'm not a MW" above him. Let's get that straightened out. The fraud lineal champ needs to turn over that belt to its rightful owner, vacate or get beat down.

I'm with u on that one , the Cotto/Canelo winner should fight at 160 or vacate . But I can't help not feeling sorry for GGG since he put all 168 notables on notice , but then offered Ward the fight only at 164 . Seems like a bit of due comeuppance

Chavez Jr. is Mexican (which almost gifts u a heafty fan base) and has a legendary father as a cherry on top . GGG is a recent banana boat refugee who arrived with no fan base and is trying earnestly to organically build one . Try to compare apples to apples next time .

Is Ggg SMW lineal champ, demanding to fight his mando Ward at 161? Didn't think so.

Well yeah he has a lot working against him, and some for: he's more likeable than Chavez, makes weight easy, and is much better in the ring. You're missing the point: to become PPV you need to knock off a PPV star in style. All have been put on notice: Chavez, Froch, now Canelo, Cotto and there's a clear mandate
