"they're fighting for a 160 belt it needs to be exactly at 160 or else they are cowards" LOL, hopkins-delahoya wasn't at 160, bhop made SACRIFICES, got his biggest win, biggest payday and most exposure he's ever had. golovkin wants everything to be on his terms, mr. 97K got the game all ****ed up. people call cotto a diva, golovkin is the BIGGEST diva there is.
just an FYI buddy if the fight at CW lets say 155 belts are not at stake....
my question if you are a fighter you would what to be recognize for beating the champion at that weight class, why catch weight ? fight for the belts to take the credit and crown (that goes for divas cotto/canela)

Can u quantify this nonsense your speaking ? But even if this garbage your speaking was true , why not fight Ward when a Ward fight is bigger than both Lara and Monroe combined ? Let me guess , here's where u switch the narrative , and tell me its ALL about unifying right ?

At that time, Ward was either injured, in court, or according to Roc COO Dave Iskowitz "needed a few tuneups".

It wasnt until the Lemieux fight was signed, and GGG was mando to Cotto-Canelo winner, that Ward came out of the woodwork with his ""lets fight 50-50 sometime next year" hoax offer. At that point Ward could safely run his mouth because GGG was already committed to another fight.

Ward is that dude who holds up his fist as you are driving away (like he's running you off), even though he didnt want none when you were standing right in front of him.

Why would I have to deflect a single thing here? There are boxing weight classes for reasons and no fighter is obligated to go up & down. If fighter A wants to fight in a weight class, that is his business. I've always maintained that as a boxing fan. Further, there are rules & regulations in place in the sport of boxing. Rules that should be enforced if we want our sport to actually resemble a damn sport. What you're defecting away from is the fact that Canelo/Cotto is obligated to fight Golovkin, being that the winner is a middleweight champion and GGG is mandatory. But I guess you have no problem with a guy in Canelo stating he's too big for 154, but not a middleweight and creating his own division where he can hold on to the middleweight crown and refuse fights from other middleweights unless they go to said invented weight class, and then have the nerve to blame Golovkin who is actually fighting in his own weight class for trying to unify? Makes sense.

"the goal is Unifying at 160" is the equivalent of " the goal is cleaning up the sport. "
How can you possibly try to compare the two? You think Golovkin is the first person in boxing to want to unify a division? From Bernard Hopkins to Mike Tyson to Holyfield to Marvin Hagler, pretty much every great fighter has wanted to become undisputed champion. When did this become a bad thing and an excuse? How ******ed has the boxing world become when a fighter can say that want to unify all the belts and then be criticized for it?

I guess for Floyd & Pac there stardom reached a point where belts didn't even matter to them, but they also were two guys who jumped weight classes and became stars on their way, without ever wanting to clean out a division. For the rest of the boxing world becoming an undisputed champion means something and is typically a goal. This is something that's been going on for over 70 years.

"Cleaning up the sport" was specifically about drug testing and obviously isn't even remotely the same.

This is one funny post u have there . I'm even more elated that it speaks to MY point . If Wards offered GGG to fight about a year down the road , then why the *** would it matter if the Leme fight was already signed ?
Its not like he was asking to fight him in the next coming 4 months .

Ward clearly understood that a fight of that magnitude would need sufficient time to build and market , hence the 12 month time line . To prove that Ward is the guy who puts his fist up after your down the road , you'd have to call his bluff first , something GGG is too scared to do .

Who signs a fight for 18 months away? No one. Who contacts a fighter to fight while they are finalizing a fight with someone else? No one.

Golovkin actually tried to fight Ward a couple years back, Ward tossed out the Bute excuse about Golovkin needs to prove himself, build his fanbase type of talk. We've seen nothing from Ward over the past couple years to indicate he's serious about anything. Paul Smith, Rohan and no whatever else guy he's trying to fight at 175. Doesn't seem he's ready for anything major for a while.

Who agrees on the purse split a year ahead, esp when one guy is blowing up, other doing tuneups? You'd have to be a moron, that's probably why you think its a good idea
