... It's a bit hilarious that Lennox doesn't even mention Andre Ward into this.
Why mention Ward, it's a fight team ggg has made clear they don't want

Hagler is an actual ATG while GGG is nothing more than a NSB ATG

And i like GGG but his fans.....

This thread is about ggg/Hagler, no one mentioned Floyd. Try to keep up

Back then boxing was a religion to me. I don't recall a Hagler/Spinks bout ever even being mentioned, let alone "M Spinkks begging". Could you provide a link to that?

We get an ATG HW giving his opinion on how a ATG MW might pose a threat to GGG in a H2H fantasy match up, and we get....

                  Sounds about right.

These debates are always ******. We'll never know anyway and it's different times.

Also you have to remember a lot of retired pro's like Lennox grew up watching Hagler etc.. so they will have a sense of nostalgia about them, they are heroes to them. They are never going to say a modern fighter could have been their idols.

Just like in 20 years time, young guys now coming through the ranks looking up to Floyd or GGG or whoever will be saying fighters from 2035 could never have lived with their idols. That's just how it goes.

I'm not saying he could or couldn't beat Hagler. We would just never know and it's a fruitless debate. I'd rather debate about fights that could be proven.

It's too Early to Talk GGG versus Hagler

but the simple mentioning of the two bodes well for the respect GGG is getting.

                      GGG has much to prove.

We're truly not gonna know how good Golovkin is until his first knockdown - who KDs him, if/how he gets up, and what happens afterward.
Ok, but hypothetically, what if he clears MW, drags Lara and Andrade up, clears them, then takes out meaningful SMW. And Ward comes back to 168, and he KO Ward.

All without ever hitting the canvas.

Then can he never really be great unless someone takes him down.

He eat Lemieux best shots a brushed them off. Didn't even stop the attack.

Yea, because they gave Ward a couple shots and he turned them down. Ward only wants GGG when dudes busy.
